Actually, most people don't realize that public personas/celebrities are NOTHING what they seem like "on air." And it's sad to think that people buy in to following someone because they think that person is so wise, or smart, or witty...when actually they are the opposite in real life.
my sister is an er nurse & had to do that once or twice. a few nurses i know where i work had to do the same as well. took a toll on them, but they all managed to pull it together & move forward.
Do you actually believe that China has only had 95k cases? I'm sure that isn't the only country that is WAY under reporting their case numbers.
California also has very little local enforcement. Having a rule doesn’t matter if it isn’t followed nor does it mean that the mitigation would not work.
But people like the poster I replied to put all of the blame for Florida's "numbers" on one person. In reality, what the Governor and/or State government are doing seems to not have that big of an effect on "the numbers."

I never put the blame on one person. That’s you again moving the conversation to bolster your point. If you go back to my actual post I said “you can ASK SOME governors “. But I’ll stick by my opinion of it’s a disgrace and some are getting sick and dying needlessly. If you want to call me out for drawing attention to that governors policy and others , that’s fine I am. I don’t mention others because this is a WDW and Covid thread.
Hasn’t that always been the issue with mitigation? I live in Illinois, which is one of the more restrictive states when it comes to executive orders regarding mitigation. People (for the most part) have complied with signs on doors and businesses have largely complied with mandates on closures, capacity limits, and social distancing.
There are no mitigation measures which are ILLEGAL. A vaccine passport is not a mitigation measure and there is only one case (businesses refusing service) where proof of vaccination is illegal.
Norwegian Cruise Lines with support from US District Judge Kathleen Williams requires proof of vaccination of its passengers to sail with them when the ships leave FL in defiance to the FL Governor.
One person’s actions in the state are DIRECTLY and negatively effecting children, by causing them to exposed needlessly to the virus while at school and/or withholding $ from their schools.
He also rendered illegal local bans on mass religious gatherings last year.

Except those children are at extremely low risk and having other children wear cloth face coverings at school isn't going to do much, if anything. How many first graders are going to properly wear anything all day?
A religious organization can choose not to have mass gatherings. The organization isn't restricted from any mitigation that they wish (or wished) to to do.
First of all, the Cruise issue is complicated as the cruises themselves don't occur within the State of Florida for the most part. The ships are all foreign registered.
The old “ it’s not going to do much so why do anything “ is getting old and is why we are still in this kind of shape. Just stop with that ignorant argument. It won’t help everyone so why do it is the arguments we would have at recess when we were children.
