So at the end of the day Universal is changing very little. It seems a little bit like the chickens way out, but I get it. As long as people are respectful of those that want to keep their distance from anyone not wearing a mask, it should be fine. I really hope that everybody is at least respectful of everybody else, especially when a parent asks for someone to stand just a couple feet back in case.

Can’t believe I’m back on this forum after all these months. What’s the point of Disney requiring masks indoors? Vaccinated adults aren’t being hospitalized and dying from Covid. Unvaccinated children aren’t being hospitalized and dying from Covid. If adults choose not to get vaccinated and get ill, that’s their issue. The same way that adults who smoke cigarettes their whole life and end up with lung cancer. Or who eat an unhealthy diet and wind up with heart problems and diabetes. Why penalize those who have gotten the vaccine? Yes, they can still transmit Covid, but it’s virtually always a minor case that doesn’t require hospitalization.

Here’s the issue no one’s answering. The people requiring hospitalization and/or dying are the unvaccinated adults. They are adults, meaning they’ve have had three months at a minimum to get their vaccines. They chose not to do so and now they are paying the price, like adults do. Why penalize those who took responsibility and got fully vaccinated?

This news made my day. We have a split stay next week (3 @ Universal and 5 @ WDW). 3 of the 4 of us are vaxed (10 yo is not eligible, but had asymptomatic COVID in Nov so hopefully has antibodies). The thought of wearing masks throughout the entire trip was not appealing at all. Everyone can think what they want about masks, but I am a fan of Universal giving people the option to wear a mask if you are vaccinated and not mandate it like Disney.

If hospitals starting filling up with the unvaccinated everyone could have to pay the penalty.

Can my 11 year old beat them with a stick to stay 6 feet away? As the guidance says for unvaccinated people.

Unless you’re answering YES to both of those, they’re effecting others in a bad way. Don’t pee in my water supply and tell me it’s fine.

They are and the vaccinated ones that go to the ER and or need admission are waiting hours for treatment and or admission from family experience recently .
