By the way, how is it working with the vaccination checks at Yankee Stadium? An issue that has been silent since the season started.

Went to a Mets game when they were checking. It was smooth.

But now, no longer checking. As of a few days ago, “back to normal.”

Not telling people they are "good to go," as if that's a certainty. They're in pretty good shape, yes. Don't go jumping into a huge crowd of people indoors without masks, especially when you know there are unvaccinated people in the mix who are maskless.

Go to work, go to stores, go to restaurants (as I have done throughout the whole pandemic.) Be aware. Mask up indoors. (Most people in my town still do.)

It should be almost over, and then this is all moot. It would be over faster if everyone got vaccinated and used some common sense with a stronger variant making headway and potentially halting/reversing progress. How inane is it that more people will get sick, have long term consequences, or die from something we all could have been vaccinated against? Do we need any more proof of the idiocy of some of the American public? Some don't seem to believe a thing is happening unless it's right in front of their face, even though the same thing keeps happening over and over. It's a shame.

The CDC says I do not need to wear a mask indoors.

You're mistaking wanting to be cautious for being a science denier. If anything, wanting to continue be cautious proves that people follow science and understand how viruses work.

Public policy shouldn’t be set by an individuals desire to be cautious. Nothing wrong with that.

Public policy should also take into account the fact that people tend to lie if it will benefit them in some way, but it isn't.

I could care less if I’m in a room of unvaccinated people. I’m vaccinated. The science says I’m protected.

If you look at the odds of your vaccinated self Dying of covid and compare it to other risks you won’t be able to leave the house.

There are hundreds of thousands other citizens thst have similar issues and are unable to get vaccinated. Everyone should not only be concerned about themselves but others. Now here is a real argument. Problem is what’s the answer? Covid is never going away to many idiots won’t get vaccinated.

So what do we do?

If you told me wearing masks for 3 more months or whatever would matter in the long run maybe I would consider that.

Because we have 35% of people who are healthy and can get a free shot but won’t.

For that reason I am suppose to sacrifice god knows how much more time out of my brief existence?

I hate this 30% beyond words and honestly I think it has warped me. I have no feelings or empathy and I understand how horrible that is.

My mind refuses to except that so many people can be so stupid and it just can’t process it.

I have to shut that part of me off or my anger will consume me.

The same point as all the previous mitigation.

But how long do you keep those mitigations in place? Yes, I know kids are still an issue, but assuming we get a vaccine from them eventually, and 40% of the population has still decided not to get vaccinated, do you keep up mitigation forever? I was all for mitigation when there was no other option, but once people have a way to protect themselves, if they choose not to do it, there isn't much more that can be done.

I feel bad for that 30%. Going forward, a lot of the covid deaths are essentially a personal choice. There are going to be a good number of people who would have lived if they had just chosen to get the vaccine.
