You're always welcome out west, Martin! According to our state's guidelines, we should be at "mostly" 100% capacity for things June 15th.Indeed.

Most people will have been vaccinated by the time summer is over. In any case, the theme parks have been safe and will be even more safe as more people are vaccinated and naturally recover from the virus. If you don’t feel safe, you don’t have to go. But I will gladly wait in line for the Velocicoaster.Maybe it should be the other way around.
I want to visit in the fall. I don’t want Florida closed due to another cluster fash. Or has the 3rd wave news not reached over there yet?
I didn’t say that. I currently don’t have a choice.If you don’t feel safe, you don’t have to go.
I don't think it takes more than this picture from bio to illustrate the difference between TWDC of old and all the alphabet management that goes with it and what is calling the shots today.
I give you TDO - then and now
It is literally a "what does not fit picture"
You know the answer, they would have to pay for new plans. This was paid for by the SDL project and TDO only has site and construction costsSomewhat baffling to me that they didn't extend the shroud around to what's visible in the park.
I know. You're right. It's unfortunate. Lazy. You know the answer, they would have to pay for new plans. This was paid for by the SDL project and TDO only has site and construction costs
No. This has been explained many times in this thread. Entirely new drawings still had to be done for this project. The direction was largely set but reusing the design intent from Shanghai still left a lot of architecture and engineering work to be done. You know the answer, they would have to pay for new plans. Sir you cannot dull my contempt for TDO. I get it though, different site, different regulations and regulatorsNo. This has been explained many times in this thread. Not to say new designs weren’t done. It was to have a much grander entrance rememberThe answer, of course, is that it was still much cheaper to leave things mostly as-is from Shanghai rather than designing anything new.

I'm pretty sure I'm misunderstanding this but are you saying that the Magic Kingdom Tron once had a grander entrance? Not to say new designs weren’t done. It was to have a much grander entrance remember
Yes. Entrance next to speedway queue and wide elevated walkway over the top of the speedway.I'm pretty sure I'm misunderstanding this but are you saying that the Magic Kingdom Tron once had a grander entrance?
As cool as that would’ve been, it would’ve blocked off any potential redevelopment of that area. Not that they are planning to anyways (for whatever reason) but it’s nice to know that it isn’t completely off the table due to physical constraints imposed by an elevated walkway.Yes. Purely armchair, but I don't think it would be that far off to see the Baymax spinner from Tokyo go in the space alongside something else with a retheme of Cosmic Rays to a Battle Bot Cafe.As cool as that would’ve been, it would’ve blocked off any potential redevelopment of that area. This is probably going to be a unpopular opinion. I think that Big Hero 6 would work well in EPCOT. Tomorrowland works as well, wouldn’t want a spinner though.Purely armchair, but I don't think it would be that far off to see the Baymax spinner from Tokyo go in the space alongside something else with a retheme of Cosmic Rays to a Battle Bot Cafe.
