I'm betting it's going to be something like this.

"Ya'll ready to go back in time to SAVE THE UNIVERSE!.. 3...2....1... BANG!" (Cue launch of coaster and LOUD ROCK MUSIC)

Then at the end of the ride:
"Wow thanks for helping us rockers!, and remember the Universe is full of energy!"

Then you'll see some happy statement about how they have "paid homage" to the original ride by incorporating the 'winky winky' universe of Energy thing.

I mean this is probably in the ballpark

Agreed, in the last 5 years or so, I was done with GMR and Ellen's Energy Adventure. Both needed updates. We all know that GMR should have been updated w/Mickey and Minnie's built elsewhere.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought multiple insiders said their is an educational part to this. Also, they most certainly will reference energy since we are going back to the big bang. I am not saying it is going to be as educational as energy but I think their will be elements.

There have been lights up there since '82, so I would say it's a safe bet.

I haven’t been able to ride ROTR or MMRR yet but I think of TOT, TSM, SDD, and MFSR all as high quality rides. And RNR is a fun coaster, albiet with meh theming.

In fact I would say that the unique thing about DHS is that of the 9 rides in the park, 7 opened as the MUST DO ride; only AS2 and MMRR didn’t (and if MMRR had opened before SWGE like it was supposed to, it would be 8 of 9)

Just about every attraction they have opened in the last 15 years that’s above a flat ride has been marketed as a “MUST DO ride”. Mickey got cut short because of COVID.

I think this is actually to a lot of the attractions’ detriment. Many of these are a great addition to the supporting cast, but with expectations set so high, they’re bound to disappoint.

I forget about Toy Story Mania because I think it's absolutely terrible and should be demolished. It was fine when it first opened (even then it was just mediocre, but fine), but now it's basically playing a 15-20 year old video game. You could play a more advanced/fun version at home on your couch. I realize I'm in the minority there, though, and plenty of people seem to love it.

I don't think Smuggler's Run is very good either. Being in the Millenium Falcon cockpit is great, but the ride itself is, again, a mediocre video game. It just does nothing for me. Slinky Dog Dash is fine, but it's essentially just a standard family coaster you could ride at any number of amusement parks around the country. It's not worth the wait times.

Tower of Terror is phenomenal, no argument there.

I was watching the Ellen's Energy Adventure tribute today and couldn't help but think the same thing. It makes me wonder why they tore down the entire front if it was going to be built back almost exactly the same

I have zero desire to play any at home video game, but absolutely love Toy Story Mania.
You can't compare sitting on a couch at home, to riding in a vehicle with a friend or family member, and being whipped around from location to location, plus the effects, plus other riders in the room.
