By blending the food that will reduce the need for any chewing thus more efficiently consumed meaning less time needed to sit at a table and less time in the restaurant resulting in faster customer turn over. Bottom line being less time in the restaurant means less time to have to worry about enforcing mask rules. Talk about a domino effect.

Not quite the same. If you don’t eat broccoli that doesn’t potentially infect someone else with a deadly disease. The mask mandates are a policy more similar to a speed limit on a road. You are being asked to do something that may help you but the primary benefit is to protect others from you causing them harm.
I don't know if I'd use the word "stupid" but I agree that if there is a requirement to wear a mask except while eating and drinking it should not be allowed to sip a cup of water over the course of 2 hours and say you are drinking.
I probably wasn't clear but the rule I was referring to was the mandate that applies to airplanes that was put in place by the Biden administration. By the letter of the mandate you are supposed to put the face covering back on between bites of whatever you are eating. I have flown since that rule was imposed and they are not enforcing it to that degree. They do enforce if somebody is just sitting there with a drink and keeping the mask off.
There are other studies that show no effect of mask mandates. I won't dig them up and link to them because I don't want to be accused of posting "misinformation." Note to whoever will not carefully read what I wrote, I didn't say "masks have no effect," I specifically referred to mandates. There is no question that real world mask wearing "technique" is not well represented in the lab tests that have been done.It was found in practical application also, here is just one example:

Do you really think there are people setting public health policies just because they get a kick out of trying to control others’ behavior beyond all reason? That sounds like a comic book villain or something.

Of course they are how do you think we are getting state statistics. All vaccines (not just Covid) are tracked by the government. It’s a matter of public health. How do you think school districts track vaccines?

No. I think what @Chi84 meant wasn’t that Disney was setting the policy to control behavior but that people here and on other social media seem to want to interpret the policy to try to control people’s behavior by being overly literal or restrictive. Jumping to the conclusion that this policy clarification means you have to replace the mask between bites is a good example. To me that’s clearly not the intent but some people want to project the worst so are assuming that.

I’m sure I’ll get killed by the doom and gloom crew over being too optimistic, but I’m pretty bullish on the vaccine rollout so far. There are many variables that could derail us like variants and vaccine hesitancy, but so far things look pretty good
