Going to go ahead and formally announce that there will be no formal eliminations this round, and the following round we'll be doing a swap into two teams of seven people each. Still work hard, because PoMVP for the winning team is still on the table, as are the ever elusive bragging rights that are all the more important ;)

Big thanks to the fourteen of you for making it this far. Through these four rounds you have proven that you have the grit, determination, and perseverence to hang in with the best of them. Now that were in the second phase, eliminations are going to come fast and hard. Get ready for harder prompts and a looming DOUBLE ELIMINATION on the horizon. For now, let's meet the new teams and get the next prompt started. Feedback from Team TMNT will be posted throughout the day culminating in a late night podcast with special guest star @spacemt354 making his long awaited return to the channel!

Project Five: Give My Regards to Broadway

For this project, teams will be tasked with creating the next big adaptation for Disney Theatricals to tackle. This should be a film that has not yet received the Disney Theatricals treatment, but other than that everything is on the table (for example, theme park and cruise ship shows are fine to be adapted to Broadway as long as they haven't already gotten the Broadway treatment) Live action and non-musicals are fine to adapt, but the show you create MUST be a musical and have at least three original songs designed for your show.

You must explain the lighting, costume and set design, plot changes to accommodate the new meaning, and any big set pieces. The new songs don't need to be fully composed with music and lyrics written, but by all means the more the effort the better the pay-off. This is a #GameChanger season after all. Let's follow in the footsteps of Scrubs and Buffy and make this an ALL MUSICAL PROJECT! Good luck, teams. Projects are due Saturday, June 27th at 11:59PM Eastern. Since we have new teams, EVERYONE is up for grabs to be project leader this round. Play hard, because this round WILL have an elimination.

Can we choose something that isn’t necessarily Disney but under the Disney umbrella like Pixar?

How would you define Broadway treatment? The first thing that comes to mind is Hunchback of Notre Dame.

It has been workshopped into a musical stage show but hasn’t gone anywhere big

Hunchback is technically on the table as it hasn't gone to Broadway, but be careful with productions like that as they certainly won't score you originality points unless you DRASTICALLY change the show. And considering the most well known production of Hunchback featured a deaf Quasimodo performer emoting on stage, I don't think it's one you wanna touch. ;)

So yea, the only rule on what you can't do is that it has to have not come to Broadway yet. That being said, creativity is still a major factor here when it comes to selecting a film that already has a previous stage adaptation.

For our contestants: Do. Not. Do. Hunchback. It's been done perfectly twice: once in German, once in English. If I see Hunchback even discussed being done in brainstorming, your team is in the bottom.
