Yes!! He was saying that they didn’t need to all shut down, that we need to be cautious, not have overwhelming groups,, but that the sports could continue- even indoor facilities!!!!. But they’re all cancelled anyway!!!!!!

T’s school is not in Cincinnati.. we live in a different county... but we’re all part of “Greater Cincinnati”. All of the sports, school, Rec, and select, and all indoor facilities have canceled all practices and games in the greater Cincy area thru Mid April at the earliest.., at least on the Ohio side, not exactly sure of the latest update for Kentucky and Indiana.

This is so frustrating.
Well the cancellation only just happened. Can’t they just uncancel?

I doubt it. We’ve already been notified that funds are in the process of being refunded, for the soccer tourney later this month.

Emails already went out saying all league games and practices are cancelled thru 4/15. (Both baseball and soccer)

I received an email from his soccer club today.. saying that coaches are going to start making YouTube videos for their teams to train, and then have a message system so the kids can send videos of their training as well.

Our last 3 indoor games (futsal & boarded) were today and tomorrow., but cancelled yesterday, I’m sure it’s too late to reverse that now. :(

Disney gave notice to the college program and international college program cast that after the theme parks shut down, they need to vacate their Disney housing and go home.
Wow! what if they can't get an international flight because of flight restrictions are they evicted on to the street. Will Disney help them arrange flights home? Sounds rather heartless on Disney's part and one must wonder if the shut down is going to be way longer than the end of March and Disney is just not saying. Belay a major Disney stock crash?

I know it may sound silly to some.. but I can’t imagine an entire month out of a season without organized sports. It just makes me so sad for T and all other kids who enjoy them so much.
I can understand it, especially when many of your days and weekends this time of year are full of activities. It is been strange being home Saturdays with no 4 hour cheer practice. But my 12 year old is happy to have her playmate home Saturdays.

College program kids are in the US. I can't imagine they're sending international people home, but it does free up housing so they can spread people who need to be there out more.

There is something to be said for running around outside and just being a kid;)

The sports are outside and he’s with his friends.
I think especially for kids who are an only child, sports practices aren’t “work” to them, they’re enjoyment and socialization.
But, I wasn’t an only child and I did love my practices too..so the only child thing might not have too much to do with it.

The quote from Disney
" At WDW, Disney is sending its vast workforce of College Program cast home by March 18. The Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program, Disney Cultural Exchange Program and Disney Academic Exchange Program will be temporarily suspended from March 16. "

Two days to find a way to get home.
