My dh makes bison burgers on the grill. His suggestion is cook until medium over a lower flame due to the lower fat content. Sometime he'll lightly smoke them in the smoker before giving a quick char on the grillHave only eaten bison once an WDW Jiko restaurant and it was excellent --do you only use it in meatloaf? what do bison burgers on the grill taste like. Have eaten plenty of venison (bunch in the freezer and mix ground venison with cheap ground beef only because of the low fat content of the venison makes good burgers on the grill. I'll have to tell the wife to look for it next time she goes grocery shopping

Brian got a nutty last minute idea to host, even if just for his Dad and a few people. His stepmom suggested breakfast would be better. OK. So the bottom line is, I have no idea. Two weeks ago they were supposedly getting divorced (in their 70's.)
Honestly, the breakfast thing sounds good, and then just relax the whole day.
Another couple (also on the verge of divorce, one moved out and they aren't wearing rings but supposedly it's "going well") invited themselves over (from Atlanta) for a few days including NYE. (They saw the price of hotels LOL.) Then one (the one who is "our" friend) actually asked me if I wouldn't "read" the one who moved out. In my house.
I said I have no intention of starting anything, but I'm not making any such promises.

@ajrwdwgirl , I recall (from last year) that we've both really enjoyed the PBS special, Rick Steve's European Christmas. Just saw it again last night on my local PBS channel. OMG. I could watch that show over and over.![]()
Probably also make your Wisconsin arteries clog with cheese. This makes my Wisconsin cheese-heart swell with pride!
It is fun to see the billboards on 95.I don't know either, but whatever it is I hope it continues. My road trips to Florida would be awful without the signs and the big sombrero. I stopped in once but the fact we had to pay to use the restroom assured me that there would be no real returns. I used to stop in one of their gift shops to buy raw peanuts in a big bag whenever I went by returning from Myrtle Beach, however, I never pulled off I-95 to do that and I even lost interest in that.
I know that it is really nothing anymore but a symbol of days gone by for me, but, I honestly will not have the same road trip nostalgia without it. So may it last forever. Or until I no longer exist. My boys asked to go there year after year. ONE AND DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While I admit that Disney made a movie based on the Uncle Remus stories, the ride technically is based on those stories and not the movie. The Uncle Remus stores have been around since the 1800's. The movie made an attempt to make a story out of a story, but the only thing, other those stories, in the ride is the song Zip-a-dee-doo-dah. That came from the movie. In this case, being about the movie and being in the movie are two completely different events. Most of the people that ride Splash Mountain have never seen Song of the South and I'd bet that most really have never even heard of it.Never saw it but I find it ironic that one of the most popular rides is based off of a Disney banned movie.

What would life be without a little drama, Tony?!Can't wait to hear how everything goes with the holiday "company" !
P.S.: Not to worry -- Kylie's presence will chill them all out.
P.P.S.: I finally got Jack's chew toy, and Greenies at Petsmart yesterday, for his Christmas stocking.![]()
Looks really nice!
If you really wanted to know how ironic my statement was, you should see the amount of cheese I consume. The difference is that I am still loyal to Vermont, so it's Cabot Cheese (Vermont Cheddar). After I posted that I was wondering who might make a comment like that and you were one that I thought might. Thanks for not disappointing!![]()
(And you are probably right about the arteries too!)
Dh preferred Hot Grill. Not even dickie Dee's or Jimmy Buff's?![]()
