Sorry I've been absent, real life got very real and I didn't feel like being online.

Cooled off considerable since I woke up at 6 am expecting rain tonight and tomorrow here in Charleston SC supposed to warm up by the weekend. I pity those that have to deal with snow and freezing rain

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't y'all have to deal with snow last year?

My projected retirement is not until the last day of school....June 2024.....so this hypothetical snowbird stuff is down the road.

He had his head down again this morning.. but it got better by the time I left. He has a dog sitter again today. We have a vet appointment tomorrow.

Yes, SUVs everywhere...not to mention tons of “Billy Joe Bobs House of Really Big and Stooooooopid Lookin’ Tires” trucks everywhere, as well...!!!!!

Yes!!

I remember a good portion of those days myself, of course, but, as far as I can remember, most cars back in the day had either the brand name, or logo, or actual hood ornament (not just a grill logo) or all 3 clearly displayed on the vehicle...just seems, mostly, more muted to me these days.
Except for pickup trucks...grills and tailgates just seem to still be the proper places for overblown brand names, to this day...!!!!!



Plus, I guess I just keep up with vehicles a bit too, because I can still identify most, even newer models, but, especially older models that I grew up with, from even pretty far distances...!!!

Definitely not for most of us in the private sector.
We don’t get MLK Day, Columbus Day, Presidents Day, Tiddlywinks Day, Let’s Just Give Everyone a Holiday Day Off for the Hechuva it Day, etc., off...!!!
