Party planning for A's birthday is in full swing today. I cannot believe my little baby is going to be four years old in a month!! I am looking forward to seeing her annual stats from the doctor though. Last night I measured her and she came in at 38.8 pounds and 41.5 inches. Which is definitely the size of an average 5 year old, LOL
What will the theme be this year? Are you going to do something in the summer again as well?

For the birthday party it will be Shopkins. And sadly, this is the year I couldn't pursued her to collect donations for hungry animals like we've done for all her birthdays so far. Four is a selfish age, though, and it took a lot of coaching to get her to pick out stuffed animals to donate. I'm hopeful if I keep talking with her about it, she'll grow out of just wanting presents.

Yes we'll definitely do a tea party this summer as well. If I had to bet, I would guess that her tea party will be barbie themed.

At least she won't be crying she just missed the height limit for RNRC on her next trip;) James didn't quite understand Disney is stricter about height limits than Hershey, around that age

We went to the open house for the Special Ed high school in our town. (Well, the one for Autism. They categorize special ed here and each category has its own schools) I think that's where DS will go next year. They have 5 locations now, and we found out that the location that is currently used for the lower grades of HAVO, is one of them that is close to our house...a lot closer than his school is now. And they also don't really offer VWO....none of the special ed schools do, but they can get lessons at VWO level for the first two years and then they would be evaluated again anyway to see if they can go back to regular education, where VWO could continue. But they can always get VWO level material so the kids aren't bored...they just would get a HAVO diploma. So that's definitely nice that they offer that.
One more open house to go to on Saturday, but it's for DD's school and we're mainly going because she's helping out. we're about 95% sure he'll continue at his current school, just at the high school level. Have I mentioned how grateful I am that he can go all the way through high school at this school?
