Oh, so here's the very long story about my day.

I went in to work at 8 am for a team meeting. Rushed, because I normally don't get there until 8:30 and I needed to be there early, but my body didn't get the memo. My team members said to me, "Did you see the water main break?" Well, there's three entrances to my building, plus a McDonald's/Burger King parking lot that you can sneak through and end up at the building. That's where I enter because I'm wise enough not to fight the traffic in the other entrances. So no, didn't see it, but I digress.

About 45 minutes into work, we all get an email. No water in the buildings, floors 3-7 have no restrooms and the restrooms on 1 & 2 were expected to go next. So we were all told to leave and work elsewhere. So I showed up back home. But I wasted some time commuting and had less time to work on what I actually needed to get done. So the Jasmine photo was snapped while I was eating lunch with Mom (which I had to go out and get because we had no food in the house for lunch, unless you wanted waffles) and posted it real quick.

Then we ended up watching Mamma Mia when I was done.

Normally I take 10-15 minute breaks periodically, but didn't happen today.
Sympathy like. At least it's weekend now, right? One of our 2 elevators at work was down, so we had to bring all the unfinished carts to the other side to be brought downstairs to finish, and then they got mixed up with the empties, so at the end of the night, everyone turned off the computers and such at the packing stations except me and the gal I had trained to pack (we were working together) so we had to stay 15 minutes later than everyone else to finish up packing the things that no one else realized was still sitting there. I had to go running (literally) to the back to find a cart that supposedly still had one order in it that needed to be packed, only to find it completely empty, because the shift manager forgot he had set that one aside to deal with something else and never went back to get it packed. The truck driver was waiting on us and every time we handed him more boxes, he'd ask "Is this it?" and we had to tell him no. It was completely ridiculous. TGIF!! (technically it's Saturday here, but you know what I mean.)

That is some busy itinerary, but it sounds like fun. How do you feel about your dd possibly going to school so far away from home?

Oh wow...I imagine those would be hard to find costumes...did you make them? My mom always made mine. I was a snowman one year....and a lady bug....I remember my brother being a skeleton one year and it was just black trash bags with paper plate bones taped to them, but it was super cool. Those are the ones I remember...oh, I think I was a ghost one year.
Yep, homemade. Oldest made the bat wings. Youngest made her own headband. Oldest also made a tutu for dd11 that had peacock colors. She made a headband with peacock feathers as well. I actually don’t have any pictures. I am terrible. Halloween is not my favorite holiday, or as I generally call it, a tradition.

Thank you for asking.
I will miss her but I want her to have a good education and an enriching life experience.
She is heavily leaning toward Liberty University in VA. It's drivable for us. I hope that comes to pass. We can visit her if she misses us or if we miss her.....which of course we will! ;)
Pensacola would NOT be convenient.

Tristan just said-

“Mom, I’m a little sad?”

“Why,bud?

“It’s kind of weird not receiving a Toys R Us Big Book of Toys this year. I miss looking at that and making my list. I’m lucky that I’m older though, I feel really sad for the little kids who can’t pick toys from it.”

“Me too.”

:( 😢

Awww... even as an adult, me too!

I'll miss looking thru it after my niece has circled everything she wants.

Well I've only been there a couple of times... from what I remember it's small, my cousin owns a little giftshop. There is one weird adobe house in town.... looks like a spanish adobe house that doesn't belong. Other than that, I don't have a lot of info!
Well that's ok. We'll arrive late at night. Get some much needed sleep at a Hampton Inn.....then head out in the morning ....need to get to Pensacola FL by 12:30pm.
