I get enough sleep and do it at normal hours. Just sayin;)
If it is still dark, it is not time to be out of bed. Your body is not designed to be up before the sun. That's why they have sunrise alarm clocks, to help your body wake up during those stupid winter hours when it's still dark at 7 am.

Hence why being up at 4 am is not "normal". :p

Does it ever occur to anyone that they author was just writing a story for us to read and enjoy and not some life changing hidden message that we had to glean from it. You know, just sat down and invented a story out of his/her head with no other purpose but to tell a story.
Oh, I always thought what you did. Why is there a need to analyze everything? The authors aren’t even alive anymore to discuss the books, so the analyses can just be guesses.

My rule was he had to be 13. Crazy seeing he got through all of the Potter books by sometime in 3rd grade. He started with It put it down for a while and it was the last one he finished.

That’s great!
I bought the first HP book for kiddo in October 2016, 1st grade.. he had a lot of trouble with several of the words and names.. I ended up assisting, me reading out loud on one paragraph, then having him do the next.. and by that time 15 minutes had gone by, for two pages. I said it was too ambitious and we’d put it away for a later date.
Maybe we’ll try it again soon.

Although I still maintain that the essay I wrote for the AP lit exam about Helen being a Christ-like figure in Jane Eyre was pure brilliance. :joyfull: Also, thank goodness that book was on the list of ones we could write about for the exam...

Also, Please understand that not everyone is perfect, and that we get confused sometimes, and that you don't know whats Happening on the other side of the computer...

I joined this site when I was in mid mental breakdown..sorta.. I had just had surgery on my face and couldn’t look at myself in the mirror without crying. That may sound vain, but it was a really tough time for me. Cancer scare was bad enough, and I’m thankful it’s gone..but omg.. my face after the surgery.. it was horrendous. I’m still scarred and a little deformed, but no where near as bad as it was for the first few months and even year.

So, at the same time.. and I think one of the first threads I posted in, was about the alligator attack (don’t want to rehash it, just using for reference).. I posted a lot (still do..but even more those first few days/weeks).. anyway.. I didn’t realize that a “new member” wasn’t supposed to have opinions.🤷‍♀️
Sometimes I probably did sound too harsh.. unintentionally, but I’m sure it looked like a bombardment onto an already “formed” community. That’s how people took it anyway..and unfortunately I had way too much time on my hand those few weeks.

There’s some cool peeps here.. one has been a chat buddy thru some tough times, and even mailed Disney Mickey head shampoo for my elf on the shelf! Amazing, right?! I’m “newish” to This thread, and everyone here seems really wonderful.

One thing I severely dislike about the Internet (or life general) is when people lash out with a personal attack, or are just rude for no apparent reason.. that’s what it looked like you were doing, in my honest opinion. However, you’re right, we don’t know what’s going on with you.. and maybe it was a mistake. So, cheers to mistakes, and apologies accepted :)

Well, people like to guess and find stuff.

Just like they have never stopped researching pyramids and stuff.

And even when very valued carvings... that experts once imagined they were texts of very important stuff about kings and gods...ended being silly things like erotic jokes or simple things like a shopping list for ancient Greeks or Egyptians.

I really think Disney Star War's spinoff movies (well there had been only one so far) are a lot a lot a lot better than episode 8 and 9. and soon to be 10.
Rogue One, was one of the best Star Wars movies in the franchise. From what I've read, the Solo movie was in trouble and they had to change directors. A lot of angst about this movie is being generated, They brought in Ron Howard to fix it, and hopefully he gets it right.

Just a tidbit to pass along (from the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World book). Although most people are usually scam savvy, this one could potentially catch guests off-guard (across the country). This one involves a guest receiving a call from supposedly the front desk of the hotel. Caller says that the computer system went down, and they need to input the credit card information back in, to expedite express check-out. So they ask for the credit card information over the phone. Hotels don't do this. If ever a question about your account, go in person to the front desk and inquire.

I've also heard toss any food delivery menus slid under the door for the same reason. They get your cc # and you don't get food along with a bill for items purchased all over the place not by you.

Yeah, I saw this being reported elswhere. I do say this one is sneaky, but I tend not provide any credit card or personal info over the phone. I think this one had the potential to trip me up.

Yah, that one has been around for a number of years. It was really an issue in some of the hotels on Hotel Plaza Boulevard, as the (pizza leaflet) people had much easier access to the guest room floors. (From what I've heard, the hotels on site at WDW had a bit better security, and these people were spotted from time to time--and kicked off property.) This was some time ago, so I don't know if that is still the case.
