Now don't become a victim. You accused someone of spamming, when that isn't even the definition of Spamming. However, trolling is intentionally harassing people when they do something that you don't seem to like so you attempt to correct or embarrass them. Whether or not you are aware of doing that is up for discussion, but, all I am saying is that doing that is not a way to make friends. It's not hate or even close to it. But, proper reaction to things is important to think about when posting. It isn't always possible to judge thing properly, but, it is something that all of us, including me, should think about when posting. Positioning is important as well. Your reaction came clean out of the blue, I reacted to something that really was not the thing to say with no prompting. But, let's just forget that happened and move on.

As an add on to my above my post, I just started thinking about how different WDW trips can be.

I read so many threads where people say “Nothing has changed at MK in the past 40 years!” (Except for whatever negative list accompanies that statement).
But to me, it’s always different. 1978-1995, a I was with my parents and siblings..we did our favorites every year, and a lot changed during that time period.
After that I moved on to adult trips.. which were totally different and consisted of a lot more time spent at Pleasure Island. Then, mostly F&W trips, sprinkled with a few hours at MK for a couple of rides and fireworks.

Then my “aunt” trip.. I was totally unprepared and it was definitely a new experience. Happily went back to my adult only F&W stays afterwards.

Then my first “Mom trip” also COMPLETELY different, and new experiences, even the ‘old stuff’ felt new, or at least different with my child..

I look at trip reports, and now my sister’s trip, and realize that even in all of my years visiting WDW, there’s still things that I haven’t experienced before.

It's my opinion that school really teaches you to hate reading. Seriously, there's very few books that I actually liked in high school whereas now I'm a definite bookwork. Why is it that every book we read from middle school on have to end badly or be depressing to be considered good literature? There's exceptions, like Huck Finn, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and cube, but in general, the books they forced onto us never got me excited about reading. Even Shakespeare. Shakespeare can be hysterical when you watch it or read it aloud for the full effect. But having to read it in a book and decifer it, it's no wonder kids learn to hate it.

In college, I had a class where we got to read a graphic novel about the Holocaust. We had another elective class entirely based on the Hunger Games. I don't understand why they can't throw in more interesting reads along with some of the classics they insisted on torturing us with. Then maybe we'd have more open minded students instead of ones who dread picking up books.
I understand that. I remember when I was in college and my literature professor was discussing "Death of a Salesman". He asked us what the author was trying to tell us in this work. As usual there were a variety of responses about things like being mindful of our shortcomings, knowing when to stop, and so on. So I asked the question... Does it ever occur to anyone that they author was just writing a story for us to read and enjoy and not some life changing hidden message that we had to glean from it. You know, just sat down and invented a story out of his/her head with no other purpose but to tell a story. Needless to say that went over like a pay toilet in a diarrhea ward. Nope, every work of literature has a hidden message that we needed to draw from it. Now I could understand if the question was... while you were reading this was there anything that gave you pause and made you associate that with some part of your life? But, no... had to be a distinct message from the author. It's like the novel The Godfather, the author was trying to tell us not to eat oranges cause something bad happens when you do or keep the doors to your stable locked and guarded at all times.

Playing the police force on a site where you're new isn't going to be well taken anywhere, especially towards a well-established member. Get to know the site first and be well known the you can MAYBE say something. Maybe. If you had been here longer, you would know that on this thread especially, multiple replies in a row are generally allowed, and on this site, it's considered more acceptable if replying to multiple people to make multiple posts on a thread instead of one giant post, even if it means you do have several posts in a row.

In this case, you should take it as a learning experience and move on. In which case, I'll introduce myself: Hi, I'm Missy, I like Star Wars and cats. And bacon. The real stuff, not the stuff @figmentfan423 tries to pass off as bacon.

I'm aware and believe you, which is why I have spent some time just trying to tell you that if you really want to be accepted on this type of social media there are a few rules of behavior you need to know. Being snotty, or dismissive or even corrective, in this case, is something that will not buy you respect or anything else. I'm just trying to explain that to you not put you down for it. Maybe listen and learn or continue to play the part of a martyr and not get anywhere with anyone.

My ex and his family are from East Cleveland. He moved down to my area for work and then shortly after moved in with me. The first time his family came to visit his mom told me "Wow! You're surrounded by cornfields, cows and country." :joyfull: Then they moved to Kokomo, Indiana which is a big city surrounded by cornfields, cows and country. :hilarious:

I loved Dickens, liked Shakespeare and like you found Steinbeck depressing but I also found his work interesting. Not beach or pool reading
See, I had to read Grapes of Wrath over the summer. It was on our summer reading list. Having to read it while you're at the pool...just, no. My copy is probably around here somewhere. I should probably sell it so I can buy more books that I actually like.
