Awesome!!!
Yes, always better to master the fundamentals in anything before moving on to more advanced technique.
After HS I played on an IBM league soccer team with my pop. One of the guys on that team also played on an Austin city league team, and he asked me to play for them as well.
I was the only guy on that team that didn't speak fluent Spanish, and there were only 2 guys on the team (one being the guy that asked me to play for them) that spoke fluent English. There were guys from Mexico, Brazil, and Peru. Boy howdy, did those guys have skills...!!! I learned a lot...!

Back when I first started playing in the Town and Country league, and all the way through HS soccer, I practiced dribbling, juggling, etc. for hours at a time on my own (or with my pop or one of my bros...my next youngest bro also played on the JV team my junior year then joined me on varsity my senior year, and played on varsity until he graduated 2 years later) when I could, along with our regular practices and games.
Good times...!!!
Omg that’s so great!! I bet it was a wonderful time in your life. :)
I think soccer is just going to continue to get more popular in the US.. it’s LONG overdue!!

My mom has a stomach virus, so naturally, someone else is making dinner. My dad and I had an argument over who was going to do it. You would think it's because neither of us wants to do it. But nope. I told him I was making it, and his response was, very seriously, "But you don't know how!" Yeah...kinda do. Whereas I've had his food when he's cooked before. Hence why I finally insisted. 😂 Now I'm almost done after having made it in peace.

Speaking of cooking, I tried a super easy recipe for a crock pot last night. Take 2-3 (average sized) pork chops, pour in 1 can of Campbell's (reduced fat, if you prefer) condensed cream of chicken soup, and then one packet of Hidden Valley Ranch powder--sprinkle powder over the soup and pork chops. Cook on low for 6 hours. Yum!

After I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, I started to take dying pretty serious. One thing I didn't want to do is leave everything up to my daughters to figure out what I wanted. I did a will a long time ago, but, recently did a living will, power of attorney, prepaid burial expenses, bought the lot, directed cremation with no concern about how fancy the container was. In fact, during the process I found a internment container that was painted and designed like a can of coffee. It had big bold lettering that said "CHOCK FULL OF NUTS". I thought it was perfect, but, my girls talked me out of it. Leave um laughing I always say. Anyway, it was a relief to have it all done, paid for and not a concern. They both thanked me as well. Love means never having to say...Sorry for those final expenses girls. I'm afraid I already spent all my money. Good luck!

PS. Fortunately the prostate cancer, although not gone away, is not progressing beyond the speed of snail, so the consensus of opinion in medical circles is that I will probably die of grouchy long before the cancer has a chance.
Enjoy a long and "grouchy" life but wouldn't a garbage can be more fitting? It worked for Oscar1523178609842.png

You and I have a much different idea of what is easy. When I do pork chops I start with a pork loin a cleaver and a sharp knife:banghead:
