@21stamps you may want to look into a multi cooker. One that's both a pressure cooker and slow cooker in one. Also get at least one size larger than you think you'll need as you have a growing boy. Chances are he'll never eat as much as mine but still more than you can imagine;)

Thanks for the advice! I will definitely look into that.
I have a nephew who’s a sophomore in high school.. the kid can tear thru my fridge and pantry in a day or 2 when he comes to visit. I can only imagine what that would be like at all times!

Got accepted to a school in London. Yes, I'm not where I want to be career wise and financially but it brings money in. But on the flip side I really want to get out of here.
Congratulations!! Yes, a tough decision for sure. You are still young enough and are not bogged down by family. Part of me says to follow your dream. Another part says the "Grass is always greener on the other side". If you decide to jump the pond, I am sure you will find some friends like @Mr Ferret 88 or @RedNoseMickey to help teach you the finer aspects of British life.

I’m in love with your new camera! Keep ‘em coming!

I’m so sorry to hear about the prostate cancer. I hope you have several more decades of grouchiness :)
The casket sounds hilarious! I almost wish you would have picked it.lol.

I met with my financial advisor when T was an infant to discuss many things, but mainly what I need to do to protect/take care of him
If something happened to me. I ended up taking two life insurance policies as well.. a higher term policy, and a lower whole life policy. Being a sole parent I need everything straightened out in the event that he would be left without me before becoming an adult.
It’s a scary thought.. but I do take comfort that he would be taken care of. It’s also a time when you think ‘oh my, is this really what I will be spending over the next 21 years?!’

I totally thought it said that you met with your financial advisor when you were an infant.

It would be easier if they didn't kick you out of the country so fast after graduation and I don't want to come back. Sure, the UK is getting just as crazy as we are. Other countries give you one to two years.

Wait.. what..wait...but...umm...how..do..you..but...

Nm. I’m in such shock that I can’t even put a sentence together. ;)
:hilarious: I know. Like how did I get through college, or grad school, or having babies that wake you up a bazillion times a night and survive without coffee? I don't know. I just can. I always thought it was funny how my dh never liked coffee either. I grew up around it. Just never liked it. Fancy hot chocolate is my thing, although I am quite content with my Silk chocolate almond or coconut chocolate milk heated up. ;)

4 babies!!! I don’t know how you do it without caffeine!!

That’s really neat though, I almost wish I didn’t need it. I have friends who swear by ‘Spark’.. said it made them give up coffee.. I thought about it, but then I remember how excited I was the first time I could FINALLY have coffee again after T was finished nursing. I can’t go back to the deprivation. ;).

Hot Silk milk sounds good! I’ve never thought to do that for hot chocolate, but now I think we will.
