I haven’t even bought an Easter outfit yet for kiddo.. and I have no idea where to find T’s First Communion suit. I wanted something a little more Spring than a standard black suit. The Janie and Jacks near me closed about a year or so ago.. and I don’t want to order a suit online.

I wish all of my stores would stop closing their brick and mortar shops! (At least near me ;) )
I bought James winter dress clothes a bit big and hemmed the pants. They still fit:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: He doesn't seem to ever go out just up:hilarious:

When my son was 4 years old he was addicted to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, toys, TV, movies and clothing. When I would ask him what he wanted to wear today really meant what Turtle sweat pants/shirt or Turtle shorts/Tshirt are you going to wear today. He even had a pitchers type warm up jacket that was Turtles. I have a picture of him on stage with Robert Rabbit in Toon Town, think he got picked at age 4 because of his Turtle Clothing and in that time frame Disney had the Turtles and Turtle show at the studios.

And you have seen me over the last month. I like nice things. I rarely if ever pay retail. Nothing makes me happier than finding a bargain for me or my family.
My older ds never cared what he wore. I lucked out with him. James has or has had SW, St, assorted Marvel, Disney and P&F shirts. He also has SW and P&F bedding.

I just passed Janie and Jack's today and everything inside was super adorable and springy!!

I haven’t! I’ll be sure to try it! T would probably like it as well.

Maybe that’s it. I was hoping he would have black hair anyway, so the blonde being gone really doesn’t bother me. It won’t be black, but it’s definitely a lot darker.

Speaking of birthdays and clothes.. Will you ladies give me your honest opinion about something that’s been bothering me?
Here’s T’s birthday request list this year-

Soccer rebounder.
New soccer net/goal. (Our other one is ripped)
Legos.
Ronaldo Real Madrid Jersey and shorts.
Ronaldo Portugal Jersey and shorts.
Ronaldo Portugal Warmups- shirt, jacket, and pants.
CR7 shoes.
World Cup tee shirt (non team specific).
World Cup soccer ball.

So anyway, I was talking to another mom last week at soccer practice (her son is one of T’s close friends).. was laughing about his list and expressed that he won’t be getting most of it.I’m limiting it to one jersey and one warm up... or at least as far as the actual Nike and Adidas ones (they’re about $65-$85 per item).
He’s growing so quickly that I can’t justify all of that... I don’t even think I could justify that expense for myself.

So.. she said that they don’t watch soccer at home.. her son doesn’t know about the players or World Cup.. and she was glad that he wasn’t requesting that stuff.

So then I get a text a few days ago, asking where someone would buy that stuff.. I told her.. and then she texts me back that she bought all of those items for her son. All of the clothing items on that list. Followed up with- “I bet he’ll be excited to show T when they’re together!”
What?

Is it weird that I’m bothered by it?
I don’t care what other kids have that T doesn’t.. but this specific scenario was so odd.
It’s not the first time that something similar has happened.. non clothing related, just other situations. I’m starting to second guess if maybe I should stop telling her things. I like her a lot, and I like her son.. but this is the most recent in a series of odd moments. I don’t know what it is or why it keeps happening.. but it’s starting to get on my nerves.

You can tell me if I’m the one being weird.lol. I need a total honest outside opinion.

It's weird. It's not you. I wonder if maybe because they don't watch soccer, she didn't know her son was so into it or something. Like A doesn't watch Elana but get friends do so she's constantly asking for a princess Elana dress

Is California Grill going to be 3 credits now?

Because at this rate Id rather go again at Cali than actually having horrible service at BOG.
Supposedly the food and service will be signature quality at BOG. We went to BOG the year it opened and thought it was the best value as far as a sit down goes. The food, service and drink pairings were excellent. Fast forward a couple of years and we were saying never again. and SHHHHH about 3 credit meals so far Disney hasn't thought to do that, or at least not that we know of

It will be interesting to see if they can pull that off. We had lunch there right after it opened- loved it! Two years later had dinner there, it was awful. Tried lunch again a year after that and it was just ok. Haven’t felt the urge to try it again....

We haven't ever done dinner at BOG but lunch many times and breakfast once (which was fine). The first couple times we did lunch at BOG it was fabulous but then the next couple of times something was always a little off and the last meal was terrible except for the cupcake. We still think it is incredibly themed and beautiful on the inside but with the food quality down it and so many other good places to eat it isn't on our radar any more.

Oh my gosh! That is adorable and conjured up a memory of mine. When I was about 5 I went to a summer day camp. They had shorts that you could buy. My mom thought it was a waste to buy them. Well I decided to make my own with paper and staples and colored the camp logo on it. :hilarious:

Ha ha, that’s great! I bet she was as tickled as I was!

Normally T would get reprimanded for using the printer without permission.. but I let it slide this time. Apparently he printed the logo/crest from his iPad.. cut and glued it on the paper.. then obviously cut and taped the paper to form the shirt. I’ll give him, and you, points for creativity! I was laughing so hard.

I don’t think I have any choice but to buy him the home uniform..lol.. he’ll be ecstatic.

I didn’t have the luxury of an Ipad and printer in the 1970’s. :hilarious:
