Thank god Nintendo’s actually creatively involved this time. I’m still iffy on Illumination though.
I don't find anything iffy about it. Illumination has yet to produce anything that wasn't mass-market trash. Wildly popular, yes, but infuriatingly mediocre and nauseatingly pandering. I'm very preemptively disappointed in this film.

Get ready for three Toads to provide constant and annoying comic* relief. Though, I could expect that from most any animation studio, thanks to the damage the minions have done to the animation industry over the past 7½ years.

I'll stick to the Dennis Hopper fever dream for now.

Any word on the Spirited Blog from the past six months? I need my fix of justified misery towards things people enjoy.

There was the 1986 animated film The Mission To Save Princess Peach.

Yea, I would take that with a grain of salt...moving walkways for the entire park instead of sidewalks and space/sky theme seems very limiting IP wise.
You have to remember who funds Tokyo. I don't know if a third park is indeed happening there but OLC/Tokyo Disneyland would be the safest bet for something like that to happen.

So OLC were pretty transparent about their desire to build a second gate... in 1988. They take their stuff very seriously and if you don’t have a declarative statement that OLC will build a third gate, we are a ways away from it.

Their medium term plan doesn’t hint at actions that would need to be taken to support a third gate, like land acquisition/reclamation.

Edit: OLC built TDS, from groundbreaking to opening day, in 2 years and 11 months! 😱
