Obviously it’s necessary as part of the work they are performing. Otherwise they would not be doing it.Why are they running the boats empty today if they are "refurbishing"? Is it to taunt me more?
It’s quite normal.

This ride seems to get a lot of refurbs. Guess the one a few months ago in 2017 didn't quite cut it.
this is a continuation of that refurb. Basically they reopened the ride in the middle of the work so it would be available during the peak holiday period. This ride seems to get a lot of refurbs. Guess the one a few months ago in 2017 didn't quite cut it.
Yeah, that's kinda what I figured.this is a continuation of that refurb. Basically they reopened the ride in the middle of the work so it would be available during the peak holiday period.
Due to the abundance of water and chemicals in that water Splash requires frequents refurbs.Yeah, that's kinda what I figured.
Didn't it just undergo a huge refurb from top to bottom a couple of years ago? I'm spacing when that was...
I guess... Kali, Maelstrom and PotC are not much better. This doesn't bode well for Na'vi.Due to the abundance of water and chemicals in that water Splash requires frequents refurbs.
Outdoors and wet is far worse. Kali and Splash close annually. Frostrom and PotC do not.I guess... Kali, Maelstrom and PotC are not much better. This doesn't bode well for Na'vi.
Na’vi has no drops so the water does not require as many chemicals for treatment. So it’s slightly less corrosive. It also doesn’t go outsideI guess... Kali, Maelstrom and PotC are not much better. This doesn't bode well for Na'vi.
Splash is a very demanding building. It has some very unique issues that have to be constantly worked on. Some that won’t go away.Yeah, that's kinda what I figured.

True, being exposed not only to the weather, but UV as well - that'll wreak havoc on plastics, rubbers, paint, etc.Na’vi has no drops so the water does not require as many chemicals for treatment. So it’s slightly less corrosive. It also doesn’t go outside

Eeew. I think that says it all.Plus sweat, oil, and whatever else gets washed off of guests as they ride. Seeing and being near the holding tank is... an experience I cannot properly describe. If you lose a hat on Splash Mountain, you don't want it back.
*cough* Jumping Brer Rabbit...*cough* fix blue bird while your at it Disney *cough*Splash is a very demanding building. It has some very unique issues that have to be constantly worked on. Some that won’t go away.

Yeah they’ve been way better with fixing Brer Rabbit. The point was that it was one of the unusual recurring problems that Martin mentioned.I don't know what they are 'refurbishing' but it could be to test the ride system or alt
I saw jumping Brer Rabbit in November/December.
Who does the water treatment at WDW?Na’vi has no drops so the water does not require as many chemicals for treatment. So it’s slightly less corrosive. It also doesn’t go outside
