I've heard their refurb has gotten a bit delayed, so they are going to bring it back before the holiday rush for crowds and then bring it back into refurb after the peak.

Yep that's my situation as well, but will miss it in January since we won't get there until the 18th. Oh well I will get to ride at some point.

I actually had originally booked my DW '17 vacation for 9/2-9/11 this past March. Well, a few weeks later, Disney announced that Splash was going down on the 28th of August for a refurb! Me being a huuuuge Splash freak and not having been to DW since 2008, I moved my trip to Aug 26-Sep 3 just so I could ride the heck out of Splash Mtn my first 2 days! LOL

It ended up being a blessing in more ways than one because Irma would have ruined my trip had I not moved it up a week for Splash.
