I can't believe some people tried to climb the Tree of Life. :jawdrop:
I wonder if they are now banned from the parks.

I wonder. They over serve. It was right in front of another Bar. They need to come to terms with the rest of world with profit over serving that small demographic that over indulge and then make stupid choices. The ying and yang.

Someone who witnessed it said they were taken away in handcuffs.

No doubt but still....stop the over serving. Me I enjoy the Disney cocktails here and there. They so greatly vary in content. Me I am mostly a wine drinker and then I lean toward the lower level of even that. I can kinda keep an eye on what I am indulging similar to some beers though those too have a range. The mixed drinks do not seem to have any uniformity. I kinda understand the stupidity. Not saying it is OK but I understand the over-serving neglect. A double edge sword that they are not addressing. Getting them out in cuffs to end it is one thing. Pressing charges is a direction they might not want to go on record with.

It really is. At least when PI was around, there was a place just for overindulging...now that that's long gone and alcohol is being served in the parks...

That sounds very nice! I have never been to Hershey PA but clearly I should put it on my travel list.
Sadly the airport and factory tours have both closed. Way back when we'd fly in walk to the park, ride a bunch of rides, take the monorail into town, get off ,tour the factory, eat lunch in town then go to the old fashioned ice cream place, monorail back to the park, check out the zoo and ride rides until closing:inlove: The tour has been replaced with Chocolate World, it's like the Land for chocolate.

Hahaaa...!
Thanks for asking! :)
We went a few times years ago when the kiddos were younger. We really need to attend again. Need to remedy that.
They really do have some really great musicians, artists, craftspeople, etc.

Here are links to both...! :)

Thanks for the links. I'm unfamiliar with the musical lineup--but I'd probably enjoy hearing any of them if I went.

What really impressed me was the artist gallery--WOW!! Different, creative, wonderful art. Even if it might be pricey (I don't know the prices, but you could see the quality in some of the photos), it's just so refreshing to see ORIGINAL art, jewelry, etc. on display. I wish we had an Armadillo Bazaar up here, as I would definitely be excited about attending it.

Hee hee . . . I wonder what the charges are? Is Climbing the Tree of Life a felony? :hilarious: I wonder if they were supposed to appear before a judge, would they be declared unfit (in a psychiatric sense) for trial? :p

My guess is trespass and public misconduct. Trespass can be a felony, but unless something was destroyed or stolen it's most often a misdemeanor

Yah, I was kidding about the felony. My guess is misdemeanor trespassing--they'll probably get a small fine, unless Disney drops the charges.

I really want to know if they'll let them back in the parks--I'm more interested in that part of the story. I've also been following the thread on this for a few days.

Because I have been working such long hours I decided to leave work at 3.30pm yesterday. (With my boss' permission.)
I decided to walk to the city center in Zurich to get some fresh air and exercise. I checked Google maps, the route looked pretty easy, I just needed to walk up and then down the mountain.

This was at the bottom of the mountain, I usually take the train to the city as it goes through the mountain and only takes 7 min.
My walk started of nice and relaxing but once the actual mountain part started, holy glutonus maximus, it was quite a work out but after nearly 2 hours I made it to the city center. By then it was nearly dark and all the Christmas lights were on. I went to the Christmas market but it had mostly generic things that you find at any Christmas market in northern Europe. Plus it freaked of the Swiss cheese fondue that is so popular here.
I went to the Ecco shoe shop hoping they had the shoes I am looking for. They did have them but not my size :banghead: .
The shop ordered them in the right size and hopefully I can get them on Saturday.
I then walked toward the main street, enjoying all the light.

It was pretty cold and I was getting hungry so I stopped at McDonald's for some dinner. It is very rare for me to eat out, I always prepare my own meals as I am very frugal except on holidays. I had the Big Bang bacon double burger and I have to say it was better than expected. It had a smokey sauce on it that was delicious. No longer hungry I was ready to tackle my Christmas shopping. Since I am in Switzerlan I just got everyone fancy chocolate. The Swiss really have the best chocolate and the shop smelled heavenly as they make some of their chocolates on site.
After spending an insane amount of money on chocolate I walked on main street towards the train station to catch the train home.View attachment 248385
I thought these dangling lights looked so pretty.:inlove:
By the time I got home I had walked nearly 17000 steps and was tired but happy.
Those dangling lights are gorgeous! And yay for Swiss chocolate! I went to the store yesterday and bought several kilos of chocolate in various flavors to send to my brother for Christmas...it does make a lovely Christmas gift. I also got him stroopwafels and amandelstaf. He's going to love me.

My least favorite park has my most favorite Disney Park icon.

By the way did you see the 4 former guests trying to climb the tree of life this past Sunday? Likely like the Mexican Pavilion in 2015 where over serving could be an issue. Play Where is Waldo to find him.

*Sigh* Why do people insist on being idiots?? They ruin it for all the people who actually follow the rules. This is why we can't have nice things. Grrr. I just don't understand what goes through a person's mind when they do stuff like that.
