They're good! But they aren't life changing. They have a great marketing shtick where you can only get them one time a year, so of course we all go nutso over them that one time a year. Last year I bought five boxes of them and put four boxes in my freezer. They freeze really well!!

So.. in case of nuclear apocalypse.. I should buy all the Girl Scout cookies and Twinkies I can get?

They were very quickly commandeered by 2 kids.

My mom tried to commandeer my pillow after seeing how comfy it was.
Funny thing considering she gifted it to me!

Now she says she's going to get one for her later on.

I beleive they may well be illegal in rhe USA.

I find these kind of prohibitions to be hilarious.

I still remember reading that in some states and counties, there are even more ridiculous laws. Like its punishable by law to eat ice cream after midnight or wearing bunny slippers near churches.

Maybe we can work out a trade... eggs for Girl Scout cookies.
And those Egg Joy things are okay but nowhere near as fun as a Kinder egg. Learnt that the hard way when I accidentally bought them in HK thinking they were Kinder eggs.

If you ever want to ditch the kid and husband for a bit you can come visit me and have all the illegal eggs you want.

I think the kid would like some illegal eggs!! I have family in Germany who offered to send us some, but I didn't want them to get into trouble.

We're awash in them. Computers, PS3 and 4, 2 player recorders(note to self do not let DH into Sam's during a sale, he bought 5 we kept 2 and gave the rest as gifts), 2 for the car I hope that's it

It is a cookie. You aren't missing out. The thin mints are good. They are mint flavored chocolate wafer cookies with a chocolate ganache. They also have shortbread which are no different than other shortbread. The lemon cookies are actually really good because they are tangy. I am sure someone on the internet has recipes for any of them. I did buy a copycat thin mint at the supermarket, and I thought it was very comparable in taste.

Not a fan of mint (hate it). But the other options sounds nice.

I got sick of replacing them, so we're gradually (VERY gradually) replacing our library with digital copies for streaming via VUDU. My stubborn hubby insists on having hard copies though...and it's driving me crazy because there's such a thing as running out of space for DVDs, lol.

I honestly believe he is smart.

Digital access can die as well. You could have no internet or your local hard disk would die.

Having backups for easy retrieval is worth it.
Just not dvds.
Id buy a bluray burner and churn a bunch of movies in a single bluray for backup.
The burners are not expensive anymore. Nether the media to burn.

We have a too-large house (2400 sq ft.) that my husband has managed to fill with what I consider totally useless junk (like a chair from the 1970s that he loves that needs a complete re-upholster...and that's just for starters). I REALLY want to down-size and prioritize what we keep, but we're having some major disagreements as to what is keepable vs. what to ditch. (The man is a borderline hoarder...his closet is shameful.)

The situation with your husband sounds quite challenging. I personally feel that stuff does not equal happiness so I am happy to get rid of things. (Donate to people that actually need it)
My apartment is 355 square feet so really not a lot of space. Plus I like the modern look so not too much clutter etc. It does become more difficult to keep my stuff at a minimum as I am getting older. Over the years and my travels I have collect some things I want to keep even though they serve no purpose.

AMEN. I've grown extremely fond of donating and Freecycle (yahoo groups for giving away things). We're planning on moving to FL in the not-too-distant future, and I keep reiterating that I REFUSE to pay to move around 3/4 of the carp we've managed to accumulate, but I don't think it's getting through to him. And I get sentimental things, but some of it is just ridiculous. (For example...who needs 6 jackets/coats that they haven't worn in 20 years?!?) I get that we haven't had much money since our sons were born, but he gets REALLY upset whenever I suggest getting rid of stuff and he refuses to see a therapist. I may have to go Intervention on his butt.

When our cable goes out, we are happy to have the hard copies. The Nightmare Before Christmas is actually on demand from our cable company, so I just put it on for the kids. I will get their verdict on the film.

When we were kids and our power went out we would pop open a board game. We have been strictly digital for half a decade now and it's never gone down (knock on wood) but we have board games we could pop open in the event that it does

He does!!! He's not as obsessed with it as I am, but he's always telling people how it's the one place all 4 of us (2 sons) can really have a good time together without someone ending up bored, and he loves the movies and artwork as much as I do, too.

Most of my books are digital as well these days but I always have a few hard copies laying around.
