The last surgery I had (probably 14 years ago), I recall that the anesthesiologist asked me if I normally threw up after anesthesia. I said yes. So he put a tiny white dot (some sort of transdermal medicine) behind my ear. Whatever was in that, I didn't puke after surgery. If she ever has surgery again down the road, see if she can request that.

After she puked, the nurse did give her a pill to dissolve on her tounge that took care of the nausea. I guess they didn't give it to her sooner, because they just didn't know.
I've had zonked-out surgery twice and, so far, fortunately, haven't had any problems with anesthetic nausea. :)

I had no idea he passed. I remember him best for Benson even though he was Rafiki.

I heard it this afternoon. I was too young really for Soap but loved Benson, he had such a dry sense of humor, I always enjoyed him. I genuinely liked Sports Night and his role he played on it but he had a stroke, it went on hiatus and they did bring Sports Night back and worked his stroke into his role, sadly the show just never hit its stride again after. He was such a bright and highly educated man and that really came through in his acting. He will be missed. :(

Oh my...how did he do that? And how old was he?

He was 9. He was at a friends home. A great climbing tree, about three stories in the backyard. His friends little Sis always had a big crush on him. I guess I am told that she started chasing him in the tree telling him she Loved Him. She was 2 years younger and ewe a GIRL, a tomboy and use to climbing that tree. Well he was past the second story roof line when he fell and my Friend, the Mom said she was doing dishes looking out the window as my son sailed down right before her eyes and splat! Blood everywhere.

Me I was on a soccer field with my DD for PeeWee soccer. My friend comes up next to me on the field (pre-cell phone days for me) and I'm like Hi Kathy. Then it dawns on me why is she here and the look on her face. She had DS in the car and a towel that beyond gross covering most of his face. Well we swapped my kids out, she took my DD and me, son to the ER. By the Grace of God he had completely sunk his teeth through his bottom lip. Other than banged up and sore. He still has those slight scars on his bottom lip but man that could have ended badly.

$800.00:jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop: That phone had better be able to wash the dishes, drive me to the store, make the bed, vacuum the carpets and cook dinner. No phone is worth that much money. None! And that's with a trade in? Gasp! That to me is the equivalent of someone selling one the Brooklyn Bridge. o_O

The X when it is released should be about $1100 :jawdrop:

omg... deliicous!

There is never Bird on the table. They have it on the menu just never lands on our table. There are generally a few fillets, at least one Prime Rib and a couple of RibEyes. Prime Rib is one I never order. It really needs to be pretty rare for that cut. Me to eat it has to not show any life it had left in it so Prime Rib is out for me.

That is just not dead enough for me.

That stinks! No POG juice for you.:(

It is way to early for white stuff. A couple of years ago, we had close to a foot of snow before Halloween. It made for a very messy Trick or Treat.:banghead:

Years ago when I was still surveying I scaled the side of a ship to get a look at the holds and it started snowing. The big, huge fully snowflakes. It was a Friday the 13th so I never forgot.

That Christmas Day the same year we hit a warm spell. It got to 77 that day, no coat worn to Mass. It was actually kinda surreal.

We interrupt this program for a special announcement. We were at DD's school tonight for an informational presentation about choosing a high school and about the advice 6th graders get this year about which kind of school they should be looking at. The resource director is part of the team that decides on the advice for each kid, so she was there and she approached us afterwards and asked how DS is doing and said she had gotten an email today that the admittance committee approved his application and asked her to send his records so they can place him in the right level or something, but in any case he's approved to go to the special school! We haven't heard it from them yet, but I suppose that's because they needed info from her to put him in the correct class so they can give us all the information at once. And she asked when he can start and they said probably Monday. :D So relieved!!!!
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Oh my goodness. I am so happy for your son. Woot! Has he been told yet? *happy dance*

I love the original parent trap!!! We watched it just before our vacation. I also loved the original movies with Flubber...not the newer versions, but the old black and white ones. I grew up watching those.

And now that we are speaking of the Original Parent Trap I'm going to have to pull it out soon and watch it again. The reboot of the Parent Trap is fine just not the same.

I clean nothing once they get here not one dish gets washed by me. They do all the clean up. year before last my dh and I left to do some Black Friday madness and we came home to a clean house top to bottom:inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove: My moms are NOT allowed to bring food to my house and some people just don't get the words gluten and dairy free believe it or not it is easier for me to do most if not all the cooking

I wish I could have done that. Actually I don't do any of it anymore but back in the day I cleaned and cooked everything. Then I cleaned up afterwards after guests left or in the morning. I'd let my Mom bring Potato Salad if the menu went that direction and Jello. Beyond that my Mom can't cook well. All my freak'n inlaws did quirky very scary things that were not universally guest friendly.

Like me, I don't know if it is allergy or what but I can't eat lamb. It returns and quickly. My MIL found that annoying as she loved lamb and just viewed my aversion as picky eater which I am not. We had dinner at their home one evening, meatloaf. I love GOOD meatloaf. This ding bat made Lamb Meatloaf. She planned a menu specifically to prove I would not know the difference. Boy was she surprised. The evening ended abruptly. Ding Bat also did things like adding fresh strawberries and their juices to Hersey Strawberry syrup, my son loved Hersey syrup in his milk. I was actually putting her syrup in his milk at her home and black chunks were poop'n out. Opened up and saw strawberry chunks in there. She confessed to adding perishable strawberries to a refrigerator stable syrup. SIL's that substituted things while aware of allergies. It is this type of behavior to horrible food safety that I never allowed that family to bring food into my home. And their clean up skills, I'd be redoing them anyhow. We learned to be very careful when consuming food from that side of the family. At least my side was just a lack of talent for cooking.

Gotta remember that my two BIL's married two Sisters so even their off spring are a bit too genetically interrelated for our comfort level.

The BJ's near my house (not the restaurant....the supermarket) had Christmas trees up when I went a couple weeks ago. I haven't had a tree in two years because they don't have the size I want. I want between a 5.5 and 6.5. Nobody sells it other than online and I don't really trust online because I would like to feel the branches before I buy it.

BJ's here is BJs Wine and Spirits....at first I was like...looking for a Christmas tree there why?
