THNX for the idea. I'm going to add peppers next time I make some except they will be red and green. Purple and red aren't expensive but orange:greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy::greedy: we only get good deals on them for a few weeks at the one farm market I usually don't go to:(

I bought an orange pepper last week at the grocery store. It was all black and gross inside when I cut into it--threw it out immediately. Luckily, I had also bought a red and yellow one, so there was still a lot of peppers to bake as a side dish for hubs and me. (Actually, 3 peppers would have been too much anyway.)

It's stuffing on the bottom of a casserole, followed by half a homemade gravy, followed by turkey, with the rest of gravy, and mashed potatoes on top. I put this in the oven with saran wrap and cook for an hour at 350 degrees. It is a left over casserole. Using up turkey, with the gravy, and making new mashed potato, and stuffing. It's really good. Sometimes, I freeze it and take it out, to thaw in the refrigerator. Great way to have another Thanksgiving. Applesauce or cranberries, go well with this....

This is the kind of dinner that I love. My mother used to cook these types of casseroles. Sometimes, she'd also throw in some carrots or peas, but I'd always pick those out and banish to the far side of the plate. Then, I'd eat the delicious casserole as it was meant to be eaten--meat, spuds, stuffing and gravy! :hungry: :hungry:

If my mom threw in the vegetables into casserole I would pick them out too, but I knew she would make me eat them. So I would pick them out and eat them first and then savor the casserole veggie free.

I''ve commandeered DH's computer for a bit to keep up here. I'm still not sure whether it's my adaptor or the computer...I just know it isn't charging. I took it to MediaMarkt today...it's kind of like Best Buy I guess? Anyway, if I need to get a new computer I really don't want to go through them. They have really been terrible. DH bought his computer through them and they took AGES and gave him misinformation that cost us a lot of money. DD bought her tablet through them and it went wonky so we brought it in and they couldn't fix it, so gave her a new one, but didn't give her the SD card back and then couldnt find it, and that was after they copied the serial number down wrong so it took them twice as long trying to repair the tablet as it was supposed to. So she finally hears they can't fix it after 6 weeks and then the new one doesn't work either....she just got it back a couple of days ago...I hope it's right now. But I took my computer and adaptor in today...they tell me to go back to this counter where some guy has all sorts of adaptors so he can see if it's the adaptor or not. I go back there, he takes forever finding one that will fit my computer, plugs it in and turns it on. "Yep, it's the adaptor." I ask him how he can tell. "Well, because the computer turned on." Um...yeah...because it has this thing called a BATTERY. Honestly...you work with computers??? So he goes and gets this universal one and tells me that one of the bits will fit my computer. I pay for it, I go home...it fits, but is a bit loose. I try every single bit and only the one fits, but it doesn't charge my battery. So I have to go all the way back to return it and ask if I can check a different one IN the store, before I get it home and it doesn't work again. The gal says sure...there's a guy back there with a beard...he'll help you. (she called him) I go back there....there are FIVE guys and every one of them has facial hair...I have no idea which one she's talked to that will help, so I ask the first guy available. After confirming that none of them work on my computer, he tells me he can't help me. I need to get one directly from the manufacturer. So...when you told me this morning that this would for sure work on my computer, when I asked if this was a good and trusted brand, etc...you were lying to me? And they can't take my computer in for work to see if it's the hook up where the adaptor plugs into the computer, because I don't have my receipt from like...5 years ago. They can not repair something without a receipt, even though it wasn't bought there and doesn't have a warranty on it anymore. Nobody seems to know anything about the appliances/devices they are selling there, everything has to be sent off site. I ordered a new adaptor off the internet, it's supposed to be here tomorrow. If THAT doesn't work, I will probably need a new computer because the place where I bought this computer is no longer in business and I can not find the original receipt, so I can't send mine in for repairs. Wish me luck and send me some pixie dust, please!

United Airlines notified me today, by email, that they will be refunding the full cost of two cancelled airline tickets. I just sent my friend Annette a text message to that effect, and of course she was delighted. Her son had his surgery on Friday, and all is going well. Thankfully, she has a good support system of friend, and family around her. Her son has a very lengthy recuperation period ahead. My trip is 34 days away.
Glad the refund came through. Pixie dust and best wishes to your friend and her son.

Please excuse more than my usual typos for the next few days. I have to type with one hand. A mosquito sought revenge for my accidental bee swatting and subsequent sting. I got bot on top of the sting area:cautious: I'm currently enjoying the benadryl food group. :hilarious:
Oh my! Put a little pixie dust on that, and it will clear right up (or baking soda plaster if the bee sting part is still bothering you, to go with the benadryl).

That was true, but, it wasn't nature caused. A construction crew working on some docking project or something similar, drilled into the ocean bottom and managed to sever the power line that provided power to the Outer Banks. Human screw up, and only affected the Outer Banks. The evacuation came because there is a unknown as to how long it will take to fix the problem. At the time the temperatures were staying close to 100 degree marks and health wise it was a threat to the people as well as a lack of food or refrigeration and mostly tourist related.
A really bad time for such a screw up. I hope they can fix it, soon.

Thanks, this was a week to forget. Sister told me to take Flonase for my allergies. I thought I was going to lose my body. Worst drug ever for me. Too many side effects to say on here. Tomorrow, Tuesday were are spending the day with daughter, our grandsons, and the new boy friend. The boy's start school next week.
No more Flonase for you! Thinking about you today, and hope all goes well. Hoping it isn't too awkward. Have you met the new beau before?
