Was hoping for 7/14 for F!. Might that be a soft open weekend?

I agree. At this point it's not as if the Pirates theme is bringing guests to the island. The island is the draw, not the theme.

Looks like the other river attractions open up the same date as the railroad. Also the Grand Canyon and Primeval World dioramas officially have been "restored to their original splendor, with a bit of new magic added to both!"

I agree. At this point it's not as if the Pirates theme is bringing guests to the island. The island is the draw, not the theme.

Not only that there's already an entire E ticket devoted to the franchise plus a shop and other references in the area. The Island feels like overkill.

Disney doing the massive Troll of D23 attendees by premiering Fantasmic the day after the D23 expo ends. Probably a smart move...can you imagine the extra crowds...it will already be nuts. Makes me happy that I'm blocked out all summer and can wait until post-summer to see it. I'm assuming they will have FP for it again?

At this point, I will be at DL on 6/18 for Father's Day lunch at the Blue Bayou. I'm strongly debating if we should even try to get over to the Island.
