I just really hope Space Mountain will be updated and they add far superior landscaping to the land.

I totally understand why this needs an update. In a way I want to see it updated, too. But my father-in-law helped build Space Mountain. To my wife and me it's like we are riding a family heirloom every time we go to MK. When we get off the ride we always send a photo to him with the message: "Thanks for buliding us Space Mountain, Dad!"

To be honest, I don't know every detail he helped out on. It's funny, whenever I bring it up he excitedly starts telling us EVERY DETAIL of his life at the time and how excited he was to see the plans. At this point he usually goes off on a tangent about all of the "separate" companies Disney used to buy up all of the land in the area. He then tells us about how farsighted Disney was to do that. Then he describes in detail all of the real estate companies he can remember....etc.....and when I finally get him back on topic I usually get few details of the actual construction work he did. He is the type that loves imagining and inventing and fitting out things he makes to be unique and amazing. He only will ever say he did general construction of the building, but working with him on my house and other projects I can see him possibly giving suggestions for design changes that really made the structure stand out. If so he would be too modest to say so. Either way, I love how the building turned out and love it's iconic look.

I say even use some of the original building. Use some of the original queue, use the pre-shoe area as a new pre-show without seats, then move into a new building and more queue. After the ride work it so the building dumps into the animation lobby. Meet Mickey, draw Mickey etc

They had plenty of room.. even move part of the one man dream that fits mickey into the area as you enter to learn all about mickey!

I would definitively be proud of building something as iconic as Space Mountain and share with my family as well!

It was mentioned in one of the other threads that plans for SGE are changing. Going to be interesting to see if they can get this and whatever other TL done for the 50th.

Removing/relocating the laugh floor would set off a domino effect of potentially amazing possibilities. IMO.
