While the original cost was high, you can't tell me that they aren't selling a boat load of the custom bands. Our family has bought 4 different ones already (in addition to the ones they ship), and will probably buy more. Not too mention all the add-ons there are. If they weren't selling, Disney would have stopped making them and selling them.

I'm really happy about this move. And my wife is delighted with the ability to wear it on a lanyard.
