That is awesome!
Wasn't this a Twilight Zone episode?speaking of aliens, when I was searching for the above image. I found an hilarious yet insightful link by DeGrasse Tyson. About how we might be in an alien zoo. Thus almost all the conflicts are artificially created just to make them entertained.
Think of it as a huge "The Truman Show". lol
Best to get any sickness out of the way, now. Rest up, and feel better, soon!Feeling blechy...caught whatever bug the kids have. I think I have a fever again. Going to go take another nap. Hope everyone has a great day!
@ajrwdwgirl, remind me to ask you about transportation from CBR to parks. Too tired to absorb it now.
Sounds good. I know there was someone I promised to send them too...maybe @MOXOMUMD ? Or @catmom46 ? I just don't remember who. So if no one else wants them, I'll bring them along for you. I doubt I'll be able to bring them into the parks, so I'll have to drop them at your hotel or something?
And yes, hubby will be doing the cutting for me for a bit. Good thing he LOVES chopping veggies. The stupid thing is I wasn't even chopping at the time. I had cut lettuce for my DD for her taco and I set the knife on the counter. Then when I was cleaning up, the handle was sticking out a bit and I bumped it, it flew up and sliced my pinky, and then I jumped out of the way as it clattered to the floor and luckily did NOT land on my foot on its way down. Only I am enough of a clutz to practically slice my finger off when I'm not even using the dang knife! Hubby's comment was "Hi sweetie!" because that's how he knows it's me. Then my brother said "Silly sister, cuts are for food!"
You're going to Disneyland right?
Id love to see some Judy and Nick and maybe Oswald.
I would have, but, somethin' tells me I'm a little late...!!!
Yup! Already have a WDW trip planned in August. Actually, my latest idea is to take most of January off, go to Disneyland with my friend, fly into Orlando from LA, and then meet up with my family when they go to WDW at the end of January. We shall see.@StarWarsGirl hope you have a great day today. And you already have future trips to look forward to, you lucky duck
Thursday-July 2. Thinking no time for a meet up though.
My friend has off in January, so we might be up then. How are the crowds then? Anything I should know?
More thoughts/observations:
I think every time Disney comes up with nighttime entertainment now, they think, "Is there a way to put Let It Go in this?"
Matterhorn is best in the front, but still rough. My mom got hurt pretty badly riding it last night and had to skip a few rides today. I know a few random bruises are thanks to Matterhorn. Smooth out the track, Disney.
It also needs a FP system.
WDW's Snow White's Scary Adventures was better than the DL version.
They added Arendelle to Storybookland. It's everywhere.
Conversely, Zootopia is nowhere. There's lots of Finding Dory merchandise, but very little Zootopia. Oh well; I'll be in WDW in August. I can look there.
We had dinner at Carthay Circle tonight. It was good, albeit slightly small, and the service was slow.
I'm still the queen of Astro Blasters in my family. Partially because my aim has improved and I know to just repeatedly shoot, but I also discovered a couple of high-value targets and refuse to tell anyone about them. And no one pays attention to me, so they don't know.
World of Color needs better organization on where to put people.
The new ride at Luigi's is just about the cutest little ride ever.
Disney Bounding is way more of a thing here than at WDW.
Although I am sad to be going home, the crowds are picking up over 4th of July weekend, our passes are blocked out this weekend (after tomorrow) and my feet don't want to work anymore. I think we take more breaks at WDW than we do here. Plus, WDW has more attractions that I sometimes do for the sole purpose of taking a break (PeopleMover, Carousel of Progress, Philhar Magic, Impressions de France, American Adventure, Ellen, Muppet Vision...). Rides here are shorter, and the train is down, which means the monorail is more crowded than previous years, so finding an attraction to jump on quickly and sit for a while is next to impossible.
I believe I've lost weight. Would be nice.
California water>Florida water. Next trip, I might just bring a water bottle with me to refill during the day. I don't don't dare do that in FL.
oh my gosh.. yes.. yeeees!
that BBQ and the first 2 platters.. all my yes!
Thats something I miss of the USA. You can get monstrous sized platters, specially of meat.
no idea, I wasnt much fan of that show. only seen a few episodes.Wasn't this a Twilight Zone episode?
That I agree. My mom was shocked to see a pair of super fat people in an Olive Garden's at Houston.Yes, but monstrous sized plates = monstrous sized people!

They both had scooters and were eating beyond belief. Each one of them ate a full cake after 2 rows of pasta and pizza. It was unbelievable.
Ahhhh, it's great to have a extra long weekend with today off from work as well as Monday.
