Our kids spent their honeymoon at the Caribbean Beach. Someday they want to go back. But with our DVC they can't beat our price, free!

We stayed here on our honeymoon too. I hear rumors of dvc moving into the Caribbean beach, we might buy in if that happens.

Watched World of Color again. Last time, we didn't have FPs, which was a mistake (as I protested when we tried to watch it...*sigh*) and this time we did, so it was better viewing. Still thought the original was better.

We got there about 15 minutes before the show, so a CM told us to stand where there was room. We found an area that wasn't roped off. I went to a spot where there was room for one person. It was in a front corner by a pole, which was perfect for me because I could lean on the pole and look around it, and I can see while not obstructing the view of others. We got wet, though, thanks to wind directions tonight, even though we weren't in a "wet zone".

Last day tomorrow. We leave at 9 pm PCT for the airport. So we're doing the parks one last time.

Enjoy your last day! We have a couple left here in WDW. By the way there isn't much for zooptopia merchandise, lots of dory too.

Happy long 4th of July weekend everyone!! I'm hoping they let us out early from work today. (Not much work goes on the day before a long, major holiday weekend anyway . . . ;) )

Hope you get off of work early! Here a picture for you.

yeah, but the vibration? o_O
I don't know....my husband slept through an earthquake here though...I guess it must not of been bad enough to wake him up. I don't get it either, but it's so typical of my dad...he's pretty oblivious to things around him. The man will drive down the road digging through a stack of stuff on the seat beside him in the pickup, not looking out the windshield, no hands on the wheel. And he thinks that he's such a great driver. He'll go 40 mph on the interstate where the limit is 75mph and he says it's because he's such a cautious driver. He's just kind of delusional and clueless, Lord help him. If he DID wake up from the vibration, he probably wouldn't bother to turn on a radio or look outside. He'd just say "wow, it's windy" and go back to sleep. He showed up at our house once when I was about 15 I think...we were just leaving to take cover in a tornado warning. He asked if he could take a nap on the couch. Mom told him there was a tornado, he needed to take cover and he wasn't bothered...mom told him to have at it. He went in and slept on the couch. We came home and his truck was gone and so was he. He wouldn't have done anything even if he WOULD have woken up.

Feeling blechy...caught whatever bug the kids have. I think I have a fever again. Going to go take another nap. Hope everyone has a great day!

@ajrwdwgirl, remind me to ask you about transportation from CBR to parks. Too tired to absorb it now.

Hope you feel better soon. As for bus transportation we are staying in Jamaica and that seems to be the first stop for almost all the parks and usually the first stop in from the parks too. There is an internal shuttle that goes around too. If you need to know anymore just ask when you feel better.

My niece (my Sis' DD) has been to the hospital multiple times via ambulance after epi pen for apple induced respiratory distress. This apple thing my niece, my DD and our @StarWarsGirl has developed only recently years is puzzling. My niece doesn't even show a reaction to apples on the allergy tests. She is done with her first year of college now and over the summer will visit a specialist. I'm interested to see what the experts my Sis has tracked down have to say as my DD mirrors her. So far, knock wood niece has been fine since the end of April which was the last ambulance trip.

The other niece I mentioned over the last few days is my BIL 29 year old DD and she has made me a Great Aunt with her little baby. Such a cutie. :inlove:
I have to admit, I am interested, too. And congrats on the new title! May you get to hold the new baby plenty, (and immediately hand it off in case of crying, feeding and messy diapers)!

My DD just adored Barney for a couple years. Resulting in her getting a small TV for her room at age 2 with a built in VCR which was a purchase made for MY sanity. My son had one of those combo TV/VCRs when he became addicted to The Turtles. For him it made bedtime much easier for me as he was nocturnal. I'd put him to bed, pop in a 30 minute VHS of Turtles and he usually drifted asleep. Woot.

Teletubbies never hit our household. Where Barney was annoying as heck Teletubbies were just downright Creepity. Besides with cable TV Barney was always on somewhere it seemed. If not she owned every VHS tape as did my DS own all the Turtle VHS tapes. Thanks Grandma.
I actually preferred Teletubbies to Barney. And if they were this funky, I would have enjoyed them more.

Well, my last day at ICM is about to happen. After 19 years, I can't deny that I feel like I've been bit by a bus. I know I should concentrate on the new opportunity in front of me, and it may end up being amazing, but at this moment, I think this Ben Folds song sums up exactly the situation happening to me - just replace Mr. Jones with Mr. Thomas, and it is almost exactly the same scenario. Anyone who has ever been the victim of corporate downsizing should be able to relate :( :

Have a cry, do a little mourning. It is the end of an era. But, then, hoist a drink and celebrate the past, and look to the future. May it be bright!

He pretty much thinks of it as for him to reach someone else if he needs them....not for anyone else to be able to get a hold of him, too. And he thinks the battery will die if he has it on for more than a few minutes. So if he needs to call me, he'll turn it on, call, then turn it off. So if I'm too slow getting to the phone to answer, I can't call him back because he's already turned the phone off.
Now, imagine a teenager who does this. Calls home, and then the phone is immediately turned off. I just spent 4 years trying to get him to keep the darn thing on if he calls, and I don't answer right away. And he never set up the voice mail, either. :banghead: I am glad he doesn't spend his life staring at a screen, but this always drove me nuts. Somehow, I think we may revisit this in college.
