We always wait until January 6, which is when Christmas ends. Sometimes the tree is looking a little droopy by then though. Poor tree.

Rainy old cold day here. Blah. Back from the office, watching The View, cooking some noodles for lunch.

Then hubby and I are having a date day. Going to the Board Game Cafe maybe and then out to dinner tonight to this cool restaurant. 2 dinners out in one week! Lucky me.

Hello! Hope all are well. Things have a way of getting very busy around here, this time of year. But, my ear must have been ringing, because I had a strong sense that I should check in and @figmentfan423 was paging me.

We usually wait until the "Wise men" day. which is also on the 6th.
why? everyone gathers to eat the famous "Rosca de Reyes" and some hot chocolate.

Yes...we call it Epiphany but it is the same thing. Do you make your hot chocolate spicy?

Include me and hubby. I think he is saving money for our 50th to spend in Disneyland! He has hinted! shhhh..... I will act so surprised!

It really is. One of the best things in the world is to go out for a nice dinner with just him. We are going to a highly rated place with ten tables and ten creative items on the menu that change every ten days. We have wanted to go for years and are finally able to get there. So that makes it even more special.

Oh, we've had our moments , but, especially these days, everyone gets along really well.

I'm so happy for you and your family. They are truly treasured people. Can I be part of your family? I love hearing about you and Mom and Pop. I have adopted your Mom and Pop as my own. Please tell them they are the best. They have a very wonderful son.

Hi, gang! I'm just popping in. Busy 2 days and I haven't had a chance to catch up, so I'm just saying hi for now. DS's birthday today...yesterday was his party with his friends, Sunday is the Family party. Today was Sinterklaas at school so I helped with that all morning, then came home, baked 4 loaves of Poppyseed bread, and 200 truffles for my birthday next week. I'm pooped!

Happy early birthday!! You should be relaxing and someone else making the treats!

as someone whose bones start to hurt in certain parts when it gets too cold for long periods.. yeah.. not a fan of winter either
