Nice. I'm at $1.92 Tomorrow will likely be more being a holiday and all, I will take it though 'till some made up trump'd up reason to double the price again. Jaded enough to know it will happen.

Doesn't make a difference to me now. Yesterday out of nowhere my SUV started to whine and squeal. Put it in a parking spot as the whine lessened and my DD and I grabbed a bite to eat and when I came out the car started right up but klunked when I put her in reverse and would not go in reverse. My mechanic called a tow truck and he dropped me home, I sent my DD home in a taxi cause she needed to get to work. Didn't even hear from mechanic, he is good but boy he is busy. Kid will be driving to Thanksgiving tomorrow. So strange even when it was squealing the gears and acceleration was just fine.

Woof. Only slight clues on that description. Maybe the serpentine belt, maybe transmission (I assume automatic by your description). Not sure.
Hope it's somethin' simple and inexpensive.

Thanks, that it what I am wishing for as well. Like I said, not anywhere near what it should be, but, it is inching that way and I am hopeful. It hasn't been a week yet and that last two days have shown a really good change. Fingers crossed.

I'm really glad to hear that. Mom had her eyes done a couple months apart. The first one went as planned. The second one not so much and it really spooked her. The Doc a real great guy tried to calm her fears but of course she was freak'd a bit. It took a while but it did come around.

My Sis had a similar thing happen when she had lasek surgery. One eye came out fine. The second eye kinda halo'd for a week and she was having problems reading. Being an attorney reading necessary. It did ease and come around. While there is the norm sometimes we are just not the norm.

Hope you can relax with the improvement and enjoy your ThanksGiving with your family. :inlove:

These were all written to either my mom or my grandmother by brothers, cousins, etc of my grandmother. There's also a bracelet from Paris, that I think was sent to my mom by her older brother: View attachment 120608

Edited to add, with all the letters, I put them with the envelope in the back so you can see the postal date on them. The first one is dated on the letter itself, but the later ones aren't.

Wow! Very interesting. Thank you for sharing all of that with us. Much appreciated...! :)

Oh my. :hungry:
Again, so sweet of you, and sweet of them, too. :)
Yep, that black ice thing can get ya'...

She is such a sweet young thing and so shy. She brought her puppy to bring me the pie. She is a shy young lady and the Pup is so unsure of Walt who whoof'd at the doorbell. I think her folks are trying to teach her to speak to people around here to get her acclimated to the area and people in the neighborhood. We are an odd road of residents, we all know each other and have each others backs and I think the parents sense that.

And yeah, the black ice is a real thing around here during the winter. I lost it walking Walt this morning and fortunately caught my balance and didn't ultimately fall. It looks wet but in reality it is ice. After all these years dealing with it you just can't tell. I was holding my breath as she ran down my driveway with the Pup and across the road.

On my bucket list. I wish we could go to Europe, but my father is stubborn about leaving the country. My friend and I have talked about going to Europe after college.

I actually was not expecting Disneyland for next year until my dad came out of his office this morning and said we're going to Disneyland. I was thinking it would probably be more like 2017 or later. I'm guessing my dad wants to go to Disneyland. :joyfull:
he probably seen the 60th videos? lol

The protesters are still at it downtown Chicago. Heading down the Mag Mile towards Lake Shore Drive when the police turned them around as not to block the LSD.

Now they have parked their protest and have blocked off Trump Towers. :cyclops:
considering the latest racist tirade of Trump.. thats no surprise.

anyway.. what an awful time. right by thanks giving.
but then.. some people have not much to thank..

Sorry...missed the news. What are they protesting?
the release of a video that shows a white cop emptying his gun clip(twice? 16 bullets or so I read on cnn) on a teenager already on the floor.

The cop is on murder charges now.

A horrible situation. A young man shot by police officer many many times and he died. Stung out on drugs and had a 4" knife and ignoring police orders. Police officer charged for shooting so many times. Again a racial question. Don't know how it will ultimately play out, too many unknowns. Too many speaking out of turn that ramps things up, it is ugly. The parents of the boy are calling for peace verses violence. These incidents are always so difficult for everyone. The activists are calling for civil disobediane which yes does call attention to real problems but impacts so many, today they are calling for protesters to shut down black friday in DT Chicago on Friday to specifically impact the economy for change and keep people away from Chicago. I understand the focus but I also understand the impact on unrelated tourists and businesses. It is a mess, it is sad and just a bad situation no matter which way you look at it. A life lost, life's ruined. What drugs do to cultivate such a horrible situation.

Yeah and both sides of the coin not showing what preceded it, the knife slung at officers, the drugs in system, the disobeying police orders. That is what makes all this so very difficult.

So many officers called to control one knife wheeling kid. On the flip side I don't want officers to just let a drug induced knife wheeling kid to have at it for fear of what will happen if they end it. It will play out in court as both sides have their evidence presented just like in Boston and in Missouri both with different outcomes.

Sometimes we just need to step back and hear all the evidence. I can see both sides of this and I certainly don't know all of what happened that day, so like Boston and Mousori we will have to wait and listen. Meanwhile we have a City that police are trying to keep in order despite what protesters are doing. Shutting down a theater or a hotel does what besides create havoc, closing major roads in a business tourist district I am not sure of. Me, I am sad for a family that lost a kid that had issues they could not control but their child no matter what. A life lost is a life lost no matter if it is justified or not. I can't wrap my brain around losing a child regardless of the situation.

Early nap time for me. Got to get up early and make my milk free sides. Wish I could eat like the rest of the world. I'll bet @figmentfan423, does too. Good evening all. Stay safe over the holiday. :inlove:
Not really I don't miss dairy at all and I only miss gluten when I'm in a bakery. That feeling passes by the time I get home. I think being one of the healthiest people I know makes it more than worthwhile. Sermon over
