The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

Awww, thanks. So this chit chat thread is perplexing me a little bit (and yes, I just used "perplexing" in a sentence, whatever that means). So, do people kind of just come on here and just post whatever is on their mind? Like a stream of consciousness type thing? This seems like a very friendly place. Unlike the whale thread on the Sea World board. Or any tipping thread ever. Or the fix WDW thread. Or Katiebug101's Unmagical Day in the Magic Kingdom. This seems like sort of a safe haven. ;)
We post a lot of things. also photos and trip reports.

Interesting time here. A Hawker private jet crashed about a mile from where my BIL works and just a few miles from their house two hours ago. The pilot/copilot died. :( Seems like something you'd see in a tv show.
It's very scary, we are under a private airport . We get reports of several Centennial Colorado airport crashes. It scares me, when the training pilots fly so low over our house. I want that airport moved! Sorry...it's a sore point to me as the low and loud private planes wake me up several times a night. My neighbor has found his sleep disturbed too. My other neighbor says he can't sleep through the night also. We complained for years, nothing changed. Just makes me so angry!

Unfortunately moving an airport is highly unlikely. But there should be effort to change flight patterns as needed. Apparently LAX has a website with their noise complaint reports, which can make for interesting reading: http://www.lawa.org/LAXNoiseMR.aspx

I had an undergraduate professor like that - he gave a test and the highest grade was 68. Most people flunked the test, the rest were obviously D's. He then proceeded to tell us how stupid we were and how he learned this stuff in the second grade and we should all drop out of school because we were morons and didn't deserve to be there. I hated him. :(
when most people barely pass, it means the problem are not the students.. its the goodarn teacher who cant teach for carp.

plot twist.. convince the military to install AA missile systems near your home. So if these guys get too close.. BOOM!

I live less than a mile from a large national guard/military training facility. Twice a year they have the Air Force in. There's nothing like the woom-woom of the low flying helicopters and cargo planes shaking the pictures on your wall. As I've mentioned before when they are sitting on the side of the transport we wave at each other if I'm outside. That's how low they are.
