Resort alarm clocks being replaced by USB/Power hubs?

It appears resort alarm clocks are in the process of being replaced by USB/Power hubs. Not sure if this is around all the resorts or just DVC resort however - can anyone confirm

This would be awesome!! and we do stay at DVC.

Eh, I like the alarm clocks, but seldom used them. A USB/power strip is a great idea. But I can't help but wonder about thew very few people who don't have smartphones/alarms on their phones.

This is good...This past trip I brought a separate plugmold and a multiple usb outlet to recharge devices and camera battery chargers.

Old fashioned alarm clocks should be made available like we used to have to request a mini-fridge. Before they replace coffee maker, they need to replace the coffee mix first.

That sucks. I actually use them about every night at WDW, so I can wake up the next morning early. I guess have to bring an alarm clock along with me.

I've owned a lot of non-smart phones in my day.. and every single one of them had an alarm feature.

No "snooze" function with a wake-up call, sadly.

When I travel, I've been bringing something very similar to that for years now. With having to plug in multiple devices, I use to unplug the alarm clock and even sometimes the light to have enough plugs. So getting a power hub was the best way to go.

now if they could just replace the thermostats to ones that won't shut off in the middle of the night and go below 68 Florida degress without hacking into them....not that I've ever done that

I'm a fan of this. When I get into a hotel with a clock, first thing is to make sure it doesn't have an alarm set for a crazy time when I'm trying to get some sleep. Device charging is far more useful, especially when a lot of the rooms don't have that many electrical fixtures in place.

Great idea. It'll be nice to have more plugs right near the bed and not have to worry about moving furniture around to plug stuff in.

Do you not have a cell phone from the last 15 or so years. Alarms are standard on all cell phones.
