Resort alarm clocks being replaced by USB/Power hubs?

A lot of the thmostats appear to have motion detectors on them and apparently aren't smart enough to realize that there is little motion while you are sleeping...at least that's how I think the ones operate in the Poly studios. So I just switched the fan to ON from auto, so it would run all the time (and run up Disney's light bill, lol). And the Poly studios don't have ceiling fans, which are an absolute necessity in Florida.

Google says they can be put into override mode. Not tried it myself. It was mentioned further up in the thread but I don't remember if anyone else admitted to trying it.

Will have to remember that in case I have to "fix" the thermostat in our GF Villa during our stay later this week.

now if they could just replace the thermostats to ones that won't shut off in the middle of the night and go below 68 Florida degress without hacking into them....not that I've ever done that ;)
We always leave the fan on overnight, then the thermostat continues to run. It registers movement in the room. We rent a two bedroom and have done this for years! It's the living room fan where the thermostat is, that keeps the air on all night.

I've had to do this off property (at Bonnet Creek) as well. It is annoying thing to do, but in my experience the override does work, even if only temporarily. Otherwise we, too, would wake up in a sweaty room.

I have no problem with lowering the air when no one is in the room, but clearly the sensors on these things don't do a very good job of detecting the presence of people sleeping.
