Today is a day off for me. DH got the kids ready and out the door without waking me up. Was a nice treat. I slept in to a few minutes ago. I think I've been fighting something off too.

There were plenty of other ways for me, as a father, to bond with my children.
For instance, participating as fully as I could in late night feedings.
Baby would start to cry. It was my job to go to baby, check diaper, change if needed (when didn't it ), and bring baby to mommy in bed. Afterwards, reverse and put baby back to sleep.
I, at one point, also got all 3 kiddos off to school (from wake 'til "Have a great day! I love you!") for 7 straight years, because of DWifey's work schedule. I could go on.
I was a very involved father, and still am, as is lovingly reasonable at this point in their lives.

Plus, (and yes, I'm aware men can sometimes lactate - although I don't know under what circumstances, and I'm not going to Google it right now) they may have started to resent me for the fact they were gettin' a whole lot from mom and nothin' from me.

Also, can you imagine the reaction to a man "b r e a s t feeding" in public...?!
What about, as some women do, a man "b r e a s t feeding" a 4 year old.

Nope, nope, nope...!!!

Nah, I don't think many men would choose it, and women always have the option of bottle feeding, but for the few men who DO want to, I think it's cool that they can.

If you have a chance listen to the Twisted Christmas CDs. Similar. They are hilarious if you keep them in the comedic context. We had a tradition of listening to them on Christmas Eve commuting back and forth to my folks home.

I DO take issue with the thing about the Hogwarts express though....that they made it look worn. I've read the books about 10 times or so, and I'm pretty sure the word "gleaming" is used, not to mention, hello, they are wizards. They have magical ways of cleaning (Scourgify!) and I doubt they would let their train look worn. But the rest of it sounds amazing!

No it was done by Bob Rivers. There are some funny songs on it. The Chimney Song is my favorite. Some other songs he does are Chipmonks Roasting on an Open Fire and Walking Round in Women's Underwear - but those are on different albums....

Sympathy like. I thought I had it bad when it bottomed out at 44. at least I didn't wear snow pants like my friend did for our early morning walk. I did don a pair of lightweight gloves.

We were at 39 yesterday at about 2:00 p.m...I didn't check to see what it was in the morning, but it was COLD! Supposed to get warmer next weekend, though.

Nope. Just the one class and then home, though, so I can get through it.

I'd agree that I'm stressed (with or without the hand and the accident, I'd be stressed; that's just college) but it's also just this time of year. I hear a lot of people around campus complaining that they are sick. One of my professors told me yesterday that she was starting to get sick. Heck, when I was in fourth grade, I got bronchitis that turned into pneumonia that October. I'm actually surprised this year because it's the first year since 1st grade that I have not gotten a stomach virus in September or early October. Hoping that I don't get it at all. At least not until the semester ends.
