I hate studies like this - as if there couldn't possibly be other reasons why someone is a psychopath.

Do you add anything to the yogurt? I can't eat it plain. I eat blueberries and oats in mine, with a bit of sugar...otherwise I can't choke it down, and that's what I eat every morning.

Believe it or not, I just eat it plain--no flavor, no add-ins, nothing. Can't understand this myself, as I have a real sweet tooth; but for some very odd reason, I like bland, plain yogurt and have it maybe 4 mornings a week.

Bummer! I wish you had today off, too.

Know what I did today? At 10:00 this morning I was famished. (I had plain yogurt around 5 a.m., but was starting to get really hungry.) So I went to the grocery store and bought myself a roasted chicken! Brought it home around 10:20, and it was still steaming hot under the plastic wrap. I sat at the table, put the chicken in front of me (no plate--just left it on the carboard tray), slit open the wrap, grabbed a fork, and just started shoveling delicious chicken into my mouth! I LOVE days off!!

There is a whole big festival in DeSmet (I think) South Dakota. I haven't been but I know of people who have, they liked it even though a tornado went through while they were there.

Yes, I have read a little about it. Would be good to be there then.

Grand Canyon is one I really want to see. We always went the other direction. My then-bf and a friend and I drove down through Utah and saw Zion Nat'l park and Bryce Canyon, then on into Arizona, but we were visiting friends and my BF and friend had no desire to take a detour to see the Canyon, so I missed it. We went through Sedona, which was beautiful, but I really wanted to see the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon is awesome. One time I went on a small tour plane (about 6 people) and we flew over the canyon and landed there. It was a package deal that also included lunch there in the Canyon with some members of the Hualapai tribe. It was a great experience.

I do too. I love the taste of plain yogurt. I don't mind it with stuff in it but I find the flavours take away from that nice tart taste. I know I am in the minority though...judging by the size of the yogurt section.

Originally from Wyoming. We also didn't use street names. It was a small town and we just knew where everyone lived, so if someone was giving directions, you'd just say "Take a left at the Surwald's house, then go 3 houses down and across the street where the big camper sits outside." Out of towners would come by needing directions to Sundance Circle and we'd ask who they were looking for because no one actually knew which street was which, just who lived where. Ah, the beauty of small towns! You could REALLY confuse people if you told them to keep going until they got to the stoplight and turn left because we didn't have any stoplights.

This is funny. It also reminds me of a number of situations up in some rural areas of northern Maine. Hubby and I used to go up there from time to time, because we really enjoyed the area. It's always fun to try and get directions from the locals. I recall one time we were in some tiny town that we'd never been to before and I kept looking for street signs. Finally we stopped and asked someone on the side of the road where a particular street was, and he said that we were on it. I was embarrassed and told the guy that I had been looking for a sign, and he said, "Oh there's no sign. Everyone just knows this is Pine Street so we don't bother putting a sign up."

There are roads, mostly interstates, that parallel the historic Route 66. So, in places where the historic trail is missing, you can jump on to one of those. People have mapped this out and offer a new route to follow so you can travel on Route 66 as much as possible and jump off and on when you need to.

I know that way back in 1968 part of the original Route 66 ran right through the middle of the obstical course at the Amarillo Air Force Base. Closed, of course, but, the transition started in the 50's when "Ike" started the interstate highway system in action.

I have considered myself somewhat of a liberal all my life and still do, however, I have always thought that PC was just another way to stop people from truthfully expressing ourselves. It consists of fancy words that don't really change anything and say the same things as the old expressions, just spelled differently. For example... Look up the words "physically disabled" and I'm pretty sure it will have the same definition as "physically challenged". Different words, but, have the same end meaning, so what is the purpose.

It has been on all the major TV news programming for the last few days and more so today. Listing all the various states that have reinvented the names and meaning of Columbus Day. When I was a little kid we lived in a very Irish neighborhood. Because we were all Catholic we were allowed to have Christmas Parties and Easter Break. Those words seldom are used by any district anymore. We do have Christmas Trees in all of our lobbies of our schools. I am surprised nobody has balked yet. Waiting.

Waiting for you, perhaps . . . but, it's already happened where I work. They don't call the Christmas tree a Christmas tree--they call it a holiday tree . . .

So, to me it remains a mystery. As does the animal tails and the other thing. I have other things too, but, that would ignite a massive male vs. female discussion that would be interesting, however, I know it wouldn't end well. Those we will just leave hidden in my brain.

I agree. I don't fit the criteria that study gave for a psychopath, but I'm still psycho!
