Just got back from visiting pop.
Good grief, that man is a dynamo!
We talked for 2+ hrs. straight, and he was up and down a few times.
Mom said friends of his who've visited and had the same procedure as many as 20 years younger than him can't believe how fast he's bouncing back!
Although, several that know him well, actually can...! ;) :)
That's great! xoxo

Good morning seems like I missed at the fun yesterday:(. My dh and I were finally going to put the new molding up in the dining room when we realized the floor looked like garbage. So we measured remeasured , went online and tried to figure out what to do about it. We're putting down wood. So off to both the big blue and big orange stores today as they both seem to have a few good choices. We're going with a floating floor as it's an easy DIY. We helped somebody put one in a few years ago in a much larger area. We put vinyl down when we moved in (the room had carpet and we have children). Now the boys are older time to do what we want and not worry about child proofing quite as much.:joyfull: I really hope the room is finished before Thanksgiving. What started as a fresh coat of paint has turned into a total refurb, new molding, windowsills, moving the shelves, new shades and drapes. Now he's talking about adding chair rail:cautious::rolleyes::arghh::bawling::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: Oh wait that'll be really nice:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: That can wait until after the holidays, it would be nice to have it up but I can live without it.

Happy Saturday to all of you! I hope your day goes well. It is supposed to be in the 70's here today so I'm looking forward to hanging out outside doing nothing in particular. Even though I'm supposed to be eating healthy I still went into town and got my Saturday morning coffee and donuts (one for me & one for hubby). The dog came along again and got a new toy. :)

After working all week long, I also like my little weekend traditions like going to the donut shop on Sat. and Sunday mornings. Like most people, I also battle calories, but I don't want to be miserable and not have any treats. So I came to a compromise recently--Saturday and Sunday I'll still go to the donut shop, but I only get one donut on Saturday. I cut it in half and wrap the other half. On Sunday, I take the extra half donut with me, and I just order coffee, only, on Sunday. At least I still have 1/2 a donut for each of the two mornings with coffee, so I don't feel deprived.

I like how you take the dog and she gets a new toy!

Sounds delightful. I want temps in the 40s big time--we keep getting close to it, and then some stupid weather system comes in and knocks us up in the high 60s, and even and occasional afternoon in low 70s. It's October, for goodness sake--I want fall crisp temperatures!! :banghead:
Sympathy like! Good for me but bad for you! Today should be good for you I really hope you get to go outside and enoy:coldfeet:

I wrapped up potatoes and put them out on my cast iron in line gas grill to make baked potatoes for dinner. I put them out there so when I came back from the store all I had to do on my way in was turn the ****. Being a rule follower I always lift the heavy lid when igniting the BBQ. Good thing. Somehow stupid squirrel got in there and was chewing through a potato.

That would have been nasty.:hungover:
BBQ'ed squirrel if you hadnt? D:
