The newer video type ads are distracting and I refuse to look at any of them, out of principle. The regular, solid ads (no movement) don't bother me in the least. I found it very interesting that your friend assumed some of the ads on the site were hijacking your browser. That's crossing the line in my opinion.

I am glad that you found a fix for your issues, even if it meant you had to pay. We all really enjoy this site, but if those ads continue to wreak havoc on people, especially new users (members or not), it may turn away some people who will then go to other sites without those issues.

Yeah I thought too about the new members. I would have navigated away years ago if I encountered all this. But I like the sight and have enough on my plate right now so it was worth the $50 to play.

I am attempting to reproduce the like problem.
