Went back to the doctor about my thumb.

Good news: he does not think I completely tore the ligament. Just partially. So for now, no surgery.
Bad news: He said at least another 6 weeks of recovery, that this could be a six month recovery (he said this is worse than a break), and that there is a possibility that I will need surgery down the line. :arghh::banghead:

For now, though, just giving it time.
Be patient, and rest it and let it heal. And yes, it is easy for me to say. Those ligament tears really are worse.

The question is.. who was responsible?
Id say that almost every single death in pools, is because their parents were busy downing the margaritas somewhere else. D:

Although I don't have children, I do recall growing up that one of my brothers was just a wild child, right from birth (according to my mother). He was always running around (endless energy . . .) and getting into things; and my parents would be exhausted after watching him, if they took him anywhere. My parents were very devoted to all 4 of us kids, and I can assure you that even with that level of parental dedication (and they never drank alcohol in front of us--ever), kids like my brother could still find a way to get into places they shouldn't. All it takes is a parent looking away for a minute or two and the kid could be down the street already, you know? So as much as there are some lousey parents out there, I do want to acknowledge all the dedicated parents that do their best, but sometimes even their best isn't enough.

The story of the 3-year-old drowning was heartbreaking.

Hope you had shoe luck today. I love shoe shopping. Love Shoes. Work for shoes. Now Jeans, I hate jean shopping.

I kind of had luck. I wanted to buy the new Disney Van's shoes. I didn't find them but I tried on the same version of the Mickey shoe I wanted so I had an idea of size and if I would like the style. I did order the Mickey ones online today. If I had just bought them online in my normal shoe size it would have been too big, so I'm glad I tried on a version of the shoe.

I actually have never been to the one at Disneyland, so can't compare, but the WDW one is super tiny inside! I just scanned the room and then went to sit outside on the patio, since there was no wait. Here are a couple pics of what I ordered (Hawaiian Poke & Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rum and my view of the fountain:

That looks good. The Trader Sam's in Disneyland is small, the WDW is supposed to be bigger.

Ligament injuries can be annoying. I've had various ligament injuries in the past and they do take a long time to completely heal. Never had surgery for any of them, though, so maybe you'll get lucky like me! ;)

I see a bird flying over the landscape, (in the clouds), I spent many hours as a kid laying on the grass, seeing things in the clouds! Thanks for this picture. Brings back great memories!

Oh, I did the same thing!! :joyfull: I used to love to lay down on a hill and look up at the clouds in the sky. I'd see all kinds of formations--most of them were animal shapes! (I've got to take up that hobby again! :))

Pine trees look weird in sand. Or maybe it's just the sand that looks strange...because I know you would NOT be showing us snow.o_O

Yes she would! She tries to cater to different interests in the group (and does a great job at that), and on occasion, she throws in a snow picture to make me smile! :D (Of course, I'm the only one who ever likes those particular piccies!! :p )

Shoe shopping can be frustrating because I don't think many of the shoe companies produce carefully made shoes, as they did in the past. I find now that if I have a measured shoe size, I still end up with different sizes depending upon the shoe company. Drives me crazy!!

As you said, unless you can try it on first, it makes it difficult to order online. Sometimes when I order online, I'll order two sizes, just to make sure my feet fit correctly in one of them, and then return the other pair.
