Just remembered. @donaldtoo asked for Pearl Harbor and Arizona memorial photos. As requested:

All those names. Like a small city that was lost that day.

Interestingly, there is still oil leaking from the ship all these years later. On a clear day, you can look down and see the actual ship. It's a very sobering experience.

Amazingly, the US was able to recover all of the ships that the Japanese had sunk except three: the Utah, the Oklahoma, and the Arizona.

The sign also continued to say that there was an escape hatch for the pilot, but it was never used. The Japanese lost about 86 pilots, some during training and testing. I believe only one US ship was ever lost because of one of these

USS Bowfin. We toured this ship the first time we were at Pearl Harbor

I believe that is an active duty ship as Pearl Harbor is still an active naval base. It's also considered a national park

You definitely learn a lot, not just about the attack on Pearl Harbor but about World War II in general by visiting Pearl Harbor.

For the ladies here I have a question. Where can I find a one piece bathing suit that has a bit of coverage (no silly cut outs, too low cut etc. )? Something fit for public consumption. Hopefully something that won't break the bank either.THNX

I have had the best luck with Lands End. Being buying their suits for about 20 years, Lands End has outlets and are also in Sears which is good to find your correct top and bottom size. I always buy a tankini and usually the bottom style of almost running type short design. I order most of my suits Online at Lands End, they can be somewhat pricey but remember to go to the clearance section too to see what is on sale.

This weekend I was at JCPenny and they actually had some cute but respectful coverage suits that Moms can be in and not make their Sons go running. They are marked down quite a bit a JCP right now. Most of theirs are separates too and they did have the swim shorts I favor.

No ovaltine for me. I never could stand chocolate milk. I was the only kid in my class in elementary that always got white milk everyday at snack time. I think my teachers eventually just asked if anyone besides Amy wanted white milk! It's strange though because I love all things chocolate except chocolate milk.

I am not a fan of milk, likely because it always made me sick but my Dad made me drink 3 big glasses of it growing up, not listening to your kid, oy. He liked to dump Ovalitine into my milk at times too which made it even worse. Ovalitine, oreo cookies, that type of chocolate always made my tummy hurt. Now real chocolate I could live on.

Have you ever tried the Drinking Chocolate at Ghirardelli's at Downtown Disney? It is served hot and is simply amazing.

It doesn't taste like milk, it tastes more like warm liquefied, melted chocolate. Slurp. :hungry:

Good morning everyone! It's 8:30am here! I fell asleep early yesterday. I'm not going to backtrack all the unanswered posts because some made me upset and I already answered it to the best of my ability before falling asleep.

It's a new day. Let's keep everything positive!

This is my Israeli citizen's national medical card. All insurance companies and health care providers do business through this card. No money is ever exchanged for health care services.

Just wanted to show this. This is in Netanya but is typical everywhere in Israel. On one side of the street, you have steps leading to the second floor of a building on the street corner. On the top of the stairs, you have a pedestrian bridge crossing the street, leading to the second floor of the building across the street. In this case, it is leading to the second floor of the mall at Netanya. By the way, I waited for all woman to be out of the way of the shot... I had to wait a while, too... Sheesh... It will be easier to take sanitized images while I'm in Jordan or Egypt, where all the women wear burkas, but someone will still find something to complain about!

I agree with @StarWarsGirl95 about Lands End, but I also think that L L Bean has some nice suits as well. (I like the two piece ones, myself.) They're a bit pricey, but really hold up between the chlorine in the pools and multiple wearings. I hope you find a nice new bathing suit.
THNX It's not a rush as I'm fine for the rest of the summer. Seeing how long we'll be away next summer I was thinking a back up to bring would be a good idea and seeing I'm a strange size and shape finding one I like seems to take forever!

Hello everyone! First full day of the DS at camp. The excitement was yesterday. Summer came...and my air conditioning left. It crashed at 5PM on a Sunday. And today was the first very hot day of the year (RealFeel above 100).

But, this story has a happy ending! Repair man came, fixed it, and now it is wonderfully comfortable!
I'm happy for the quick repair! I didn't turn the air on yesterday when my dh got hime he asked if it had broken, long story short I didn't see it being a problem as I was quite comfy.

Thank you so much. I admit I can be very backward to things today. I think everyone on here tells the truth, as that's what I learned in childhood. I do my best to make sure my posts are the truth (as I see them), am I perfect...no...but I try to do my best, because I truly consider you to be my posting friends, I don't want to do anything to tarnish, what I consider a special friendship. :inlove:
Don't change there is more good in the world than bad. I like you the way you are, but be careful

I saw the number two Minion movie, this afternoon with our DD and grandkids. I must say it was my favorite. I fell in love with Agnes, Gru, and Nancy. It was a quick paced and funny movie! I also liked 1 and 3, but 2 was the best. Just my opinion. Actually I liked them all, good music, and good humor.
I liked one better than 2, and now it's looking like I won't get to see 3 until it comes out on DVD:( My ds is most likely to see it with his cousin this week and my older ds doesn't want to go see it:(

I'm at the post office to change my health care insurance provider. It's an absolute madhouse here! It's packed full of people and there are some screaming at each other in Hebrew. I had to take a number - 308 - and they are calling the numbers in Hebrew. I only know 1-3. I have 3 days to change my provider or I am stuck with the one I originally chose - the former government owned company. It's not worth waiting in this mess of people and not being able to recognize my number. The next opportunity I'll be allowed to change providers is in 3 months...

Its simple, cook for 6.. and divide it for 2 days ;)
After seeing how much left over food is in my fridge I'm thinking I cook for 8. Last night only 3 for dinner seemed lonely! My little guy usually has a friend or 2 over. A few of his friends are at the age too old for day care too young for no supervision at all, so they wind up at one of a few houses around here until a parent gets home. They don't just get to wander to a friend's house they get dropped off. I'm going to owed tons of babysitting hours at some point.:D
