I have a silly question. I'm not sure if we should book a hotel for the ride north or just wing it. After checking out of the condo the plan is to stop at DTD and maybe the outlets, we have no clue how much if any time will be spent shopping. Do you think we should wing it? Book before going down? Or wait until a few days before we leave and get an idea of what we'll do? The first option will be the cheapest, but we'll either feel rushed or wind up at a hotel too far south. THNX

How about booking first and then rebook if needed closer to departure date? That way you can see if the difference in price will be worth it. :)

Just had a little lunchtime fun here at the office.
The guy that donated all the new wood flooring and carpeting said all he wanted in return was cookies.
Well, it was decided that all would bring in at least a dozen, and all those that brought in homemade ones would be judged (I picked up store bought on the way in this morning  ;)).
Anyway, the chocolate chunk in the upper right was the winner.
How in the world the bacon snickerdoodle in the lower right didn't win, I'll never know...!!! ;) :)

So, I'm thinking that probably the reason you ran out to the store and brought in store-bought cookies, was because you "might" o_O have possibly eaten all the homemade ones, that you made at home last night? ;)

Just a hunch . . .

Try mid 90's and almost 100% humidity here. With heat indexes this week 105-110. Summer is officially here in south Louisiana!! And no rain in sight for the most part the next 10 days. So thankful for A/C. Still rather be hot than cold any day though!! lol

Yea, we still haven't had even one 100 degree (static air temp) day yet, here.
In summers past we'd already had several 100+ degree days.
It just doesn't feel right... :bored:

Once in a while, I'll glance at other sites, but I'm a member of this one only. What I found funny last night was, in between trying to get back on this one, I looked at a few other similar sites and saw some familiar avatars and names (that I recognized from the WDW Magic forums), that had posted in other sites as well! That surprised me, although I guess it shouldn't have. (I didn't see yours though; apparently, I wasn't reading the site you were on.) :)

The other site was the first one I joined back in May of '07. At one point, it was crazy-busy. I'd post at lunch, log back on at home after work, and, no joke, be twenty pages behind. It was nuts. Now, it's as dead as disco.

ETA: I also have a different user name and avatar over there.

Apparently the voice of Marie from The Aristocats (Louise English) later became one of the dancers of Hill's Angels for The Benny Hill Show. That's an interesting fact I learned just now. I wonder if she remembers her experience voicing the character?
I'm not making this up by the way, Marie is one of the dancers of Hill's Angels and why do I feel weird knowing about this?

I watched a lot of Benny Hill back in the day. :joyfull: He was hilarious.

Made me spit my coffee! Ha! Bet the little girl was not amused. Wonder how much the mom paid for that cake.

What she wanted vs what she got.....looks like Elsa at 85 years old.

I tried that for the first time last weekend. It came out awesome on the grill. Looked online first, for how to grill it and a video showed a man first soaking the corn (he took off some of the outside leaves and the silk inside first) for 15 minutes. Then he brushed a little olive oil on the kernels, covered with the leaves again and put on the grill. Yum! Real 4th of July weekend barbecue treat! I also cooked chicken, too. :hungry:
I don't do the olive oil but do soak them. :hungry:

The only meal I didn't like at Disney was at San Angel, no spice, and just barely warm. I like everything else!

I saw a cute Minion bank at Target this morning!
Sorry to hear you didn't like San Angel. We love the place. The only bad meal we ever had was at Restaurant Merrakesh. When they brought our meals my and my niece's meals were wrong. My sides were on a plate with her meat and mine was her sides with my meat. When I pointed that out the way they fixed it AT OUR TABLE was to scrape the sides onto a saucer and then scrape them onto the correct plate...at our table...right in front of us. Never going back...ever.
