Thank you, still a long way to go.
Theres 2 guys who are now at 55,000 clicks and 90,000 clicks respectively.
I have no idea if they are cheating ( I know you can rent "zombie bots" online to get things done quickly)

Really? Zombie bots? That would be cheating if they are doing that. At least your clicks are from your friends, and we're not zombie bots here, just zombies. :D

I used to, but, to me now, it all tastes like plastic. I don't know if it's my taste buds deteriorating or if the chemicals and junk they use (plus that hot house factor) have taken the sweetness away. Whatever, the case may be, I do not consume very much of it anymore. And I'm right here in the middle of watermelon country.

I just don't like having to spit out the seeds! ;)

We don't get the weather channel anymore  Not that I watched it a lot but it was nice to look at the radar so you could see whats happening before runs and stuff. Now I have to turn on my computer, wait for it to come on and go to the website.

For a month or so we had some horrible accrue weather station and now we don't have any.
I hated when TWC stopped showing Weather on the 8's on a regular basis. :grumpy:

I hope that doesn't happen to me! I love watermelon. Although I thought hot house was a good method of gardening?

Here is the last part of day two. We wandered along the Seine, had another fantastic dinner, took a sunset river cruise, and ended with watching the Eiffel Tower glitter at night.

Dinner: beer for me, onion soup, a tomato mozzarella salad, IMG_6906.JPG sausage, and rib eye steak for hubby.

Wow. What a trip!!! Anyway, we're happy to have (both) of you back! :) Welcome home!

I think that outdoor growing in regular soil is what gives it the sweet taste. Not being a farmer, that is just a guess on my part, but, I occasionally go to the farmers market and get fresh from the field melons and they are a bit better, in my mind.

I have a silly question. I'm not sure if we should book a hotel for the ride north or just wing it. After checking out of the condo the plan is to stop at DTD and maybe the outlets, we have no clue how much if any time will be spent shopping. Do you think we should wing it? Book before going down? Or wait until a few days before we leave and get an idea of what we'll do? The first option will be the cheapest, but we'll either feel rushed or wind up at a hotel too far south. THNX

I had to smile when I first read this, because I can't imagine you "winging" anything when it comes to a vacation. You are the ultimate planner, paying critical attention to details. Hence, what I would do if I was in your situation is probably not what you'd want to do. Therefore, I will not offer any advice. (However, since everyone is dying to know what I'd do ;) , I'd "wing it" and just go with the flow--see how much time, money and energy I had and then make a decision.) :D

I completely agree with this. And it's not just melons, it's all fresh fruit. Veggies grown in those greenhouses just don't seem to be as flavorful.

Thanks, we always plan our summer trip to be somewhere on both of our birthdays. Our birthdays are only a week apart. So he got Paris, and I got Disneyland Paris/London.
