I tried that for the first time last weekend. It came out awesome on the grill. Looked online first, for how to grill it and a video showed a man first soaking the corn (he took off some of the outside leaves and the silk inside first) for 15 minutes. Then he brushed a little olive oil on the kernels, covered with the leaves again and put on the grill. Yum! Real 4th of July weekend barbecue treat! I also cooked chicken, too. :hungry:
I love chicken grilled it's so tasty!

You all are gonna LOVE the videos I just took of me exploring caves in Jerusalem!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to get them uploaded to YouTube. Here's some stills in the meanwhile...

By the way, I narinate the videos and sing songs from Pirates of the Carribean and Indiana Jones as I explore. And take advantage of the echo effect of the caves!

I am now going to explore the tunnels under the Temple Mount! (Guided tour this time)
Cool!

Fortunately, we didn't get any of the possible afternoon t-storms predicted.
We had a great time at mom and pops! Hamburgers, beer brats, smoked brats, potato salad, etc....! :hungry:
In the evening, we sat out on the front deck to watch the smattering of fireworks being shot (although it has been illegal for several years now) off all around. Before our neighborhood was annexed on a limited basis by the City of Austin, fireworks were not illegal.
Our HOA used to put on a big show on the practice football field directly across the street from my folks house. Once the HOA decided to discontinue in preparation for the annexation, several groups of families started pooling their money and would have a kinda' a dueling fireworks thing they would do in the park across the street from the practice field, and catty-corner to my folks house. They bought the big stuff and it would go on for about 2 hours - no joke. Those were some of the best displays we've ever seen, especially for amateurs. Then, along came the annexation, and all we have now is last nights smattering.
Miss those days gone by...

I hope y'all all very much enjoyed y'alls family time and food, as well...! :)
Sounds like you had family fun. :cat:

Then after the museum closed (we did get ushered out) we started walking up the Champs Elysees. We stopped at the place where Marie Antoinette got her head chopped, had a great meal, had some macarons, and climbed up 284 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe. Then we called it a day and headed back to the hotel.

Our first full meal in Paris: I had veal, Brad had duck, and I had a fun and tasty beer.

Late good morning, Figgy. Spent time at Target getting a few groceries. Now, I'm :hungry:.
Good afternoon.LOL I went to Target also. My coffee maker stared getting water all over the place this weekend. Wasn't going near the mall over the weekend, too much to do at home and the crowds were nuts. So out drop one kid off and a shopping I went. Just a basic Mr. Coffee no bells or whistles. Hopefully this one won't find a place to spring a leak.

actually, a number of people and groups have threatened the famous painting many times.
from using guns to set the thing on fire.
Theres also anarchists who think its "badas s" to deface ancient/old paintings with sprays.
And Leonardo used an unstable paint. I suspect the glass also might be used to slow the paintings degradation. So, I guess you can say the glass helps protect it from the outside, and inside.

We have a Mr. Coffee maker too. I'm only a one cup a day coffee drinker, and the difference in price of K-Cups, vs. ground coffee is a lot, including using coffee filters.
