Pixar Inside Out 2015

Just got back from seeing Inside Out. Loooooved trying to pick out all of the Easter Eggs and other references, but I'll admit that I totally geeked out as soon as I heard the music start for the Haunted Mansion. I immediately turned to my younger daughter who was looking up at me with a big smile and mouthed "the Haunted Mansion!!!" Beyond that, I was happy to see anger get more curse words and while I knew we wouldn't hear it, I loved hearing how close we got to hearing one of them I also thought how funny it was that I recognized Frank Oz's voice yet couldn't place who it was at first. All in all, 2 out of 4 of us cried and it will definitely be joining our library once it's out on DVD.

I think its a shot at how the company is treating him rather than what pixar thinks of him. Kind of a middle finger in a good way

I loved the movie, and my wife (who can be a tough critic) enjoyed it but wasn't wild about it. We would both recommend it to anyone with kids, but I wonder if the concept would resonate as strongly with adults who haven't been parents. I would put it right alongside my favorite Pixar films.

Saw it. Welcome back Pixar, I missed you since 2010. A great return to form for them, hopefully they can keep the pace up from here on out. Enjoyed it immensely and glad to see that it has been so successful (especially being an original IP and not a sequel). I actually started tearing up in parts (especially near the end), not many movies are able to get such a strong emotional reaction from me.

I also think adults will get far more out of this movie than children. Children will still love it too of course given its broad appeal, fun characters and humor. But I do think the target audience are adults.

It's hard to pin down where i'd personally rank this movie among the other Pixar movies. I don't think it's my absolute favorite among their work, but it's definitely up to par with their prior high quality (before Cars 2, Monster U and Brave left a bad taste in my mouth). So i'll just say that it's a fantastic Pixar movie that is what I expect of them, that's all that really matters. And it's great to see something original again. Even initially reminding me of Cranium Command, it definitely ended up feeling completely original and didn't rely on rehashing that premise.

I also fully expect this to be milked with sequels by the way. Not sure how I feel about that, but I would imagine it's pretty inevitable.

I don't have children and loved it. I also can't imagine that having children would impact my opinion either. In fact I get the feeling I liked it more than my mom did (she thought it was great as well, but I just think I enjoyed it a bit more than she did).

Loved it. It was also pretty interesting to see soooo many restless kids during it. Pretty obvious that it's not really a kids' movie at all- and that's a good thing. Pixar lives!

Overall I think Inside Out was among the top few Pixar releases very close to Toy Story, Toy Story 3, Wall-E and Up in my book. As others have stated it is very hard to really rank it but I attribute that mostly to having just seen it, once it is out on BluRay and I have the opportunity to re-watch it again I can make a better assessment. At the end of my showing a few of the parents/children clapped which is fairly rare at any theater showing, I expect this one will have legs throughout most of the summer.

Cynical 'me' says he'll be back in a sequel. Optimistic, great film 'me' says "as much as I loved him, for the film to truly be about growing up, he may needs to stay gone".

This film was brilliant! So much to see and try to comprehend. The story was amazing and the characters great! I think this might be one of the best, most original films we've seen from Pixar in quite a while. I haven't felt this amazed at a story and it's execution since the very first Toy Story.

I noticed a lot of restless kids in ours too. Seemed most were under the age of 4, which kind of makes sense, considering there was a lot dialog in this movie.

I heard a couple of parents comment on the way out that the movie wasn't what they thought it was going to be. The dad was hoping for "something fun like Planes." For this NOT happening...I am glad.
