Well since I've been posting about weather. I thought over the years, I've been alive...won't say age goofernymost, ha ha... I've had the fortune to be in several different kinds of weather. On our honeymoon, we went to Florida, before Disney. Hurricane Abbey decided to park herself just off Ormond Beach, we had nothing but torrential rain. We rented a cabin, on the beach. We had water coming in around the windows. In that day, no one seemed concerned..so we stayed and everything was fine. Crazy, we would go out to eat, drive through water up to the head lights. Cars in those days could go through anything. When we would get back to the cabin, We had sand all over us. I told about the tornado's in Indiana. Hubby and I moved to Greentown, Indiana.. Went under the crawl space of our house, yuck spiders and all..to avoid the funnel cloud coming over our house, it skipped our subdivision, but became a massive tornado, and killed lots of people . Hubby was on the line crew, to rebuild electric lines...saw so many deceased, hurt, and destruction. We were fine, but you feel guilty...We survived and so many other's didn't. If you look up the massive tornadoes, that hit so many states, on Easter Sunday. Moving on, in the same house, I was on a ladder, painting the house. It was summer and all of a sudden, my ladder started swaying...what the heck? It was an earthquake. Moved to Kansas City, had a major flood and lost yearbooks, memento's, and most of pics. Hubby had an assignment to Hawaii, during that trip, just a few years ago, we had a tsunami, those warnings woke us up every hour. Scary, but wasn't as bad as it could have been, we have never been through anything like that. He had one more assignment to Hawaii. The volcano on the big Island was erupting so much that people with asthma, had to stay in. The Vog, as they call it was serious. I went out to get lunch, and had to use my inhaler, so much for the Hawaiian Islands. I know, just more bad timing. I love the Islands but i won't be back, because you never know when one of those volcanoes will send up ash, and the winds will send that upon you. Back to Colorado, now we ride out whatever the weather wants to throw at us. We flew to Disney right after 9 11. Virtually, no one but us. We figured when your number is up it's up ; After all that , we leave our number up to the great maker of us all. Crazy story , but life can send you many twists and turns. :):(

I buy a big jar of Vit. D in gummy form from Walmart. They are quite tasty. It's funny though because I never had the problem of low "D" until I moved to NC. I am now out in the sunshine all the time playing golf and going to grandkids ball games and yet it is lower here then it was in Vermont. Vermont get's about 12 days (exaggeration) of sunshine per year and most of that we are bundled up so heavily against the cold that the sun doesn't get through. I wish there was a way to get Vit. D from the glow of a computer monitor cause I personally would never need another day in the sunshine.
Thanks for your post, isn't little sun getting fun? We had lots of sun when we moved to Colorado 18 years ago. Now, it's spotty.

I do the same thing. I write left handed but shoot right and switch with my left for a short time in between. My left gets tired easily.

I always win.

th
Thanks, I'm always last. I would like to win over someone once. I'll keep that trick in mind.

It is delicious. :hungry:
Yes, it's my Mom's recipe. Please don't tell me if you don't like it. I loved Mom and her chicken. I miss her so much, and Dad, and Brother too. Life is like that ....we move through it , we lose more loved ones, but live though the kids and grandkids, all is a process, I just hope I've learned the lessons, I'm supposed to. :inlove: to all, this is a new and exciting adventure to me. Thanks, to all...you have been a great learning for me, and so kind.

And the value of things. The other day at school I was supervising students outside (a little free time...don't call it recess to middle school kids!) and I had kids playing catch with one of the kids iphone 6's. It was actually playing catch, and it was the owner of the phones idea! They didn't see the problem with it at all, because if it broke they said their parents would buy them a new one!!!
Not me, you pitch it you lose it. What are people thinking? I know, money grows on trees today...not in my day! "money doesn't grown on trees" as my parent 's liked to say.:D:eek::rolleyes:
