That's too bad that all those teachers are retiring, it makes sense for them but your district is losing a lot of experience which is a loss for the the kids. Don't get me wrong new teachers are wonderful and everyone was new once but to lose that many experienced teachers in one year...wow!

I think your comments could relate to most professions. A healthy mix includes new employees and seasoned employees. That way, you get the best of both worlds. I, too, was shocked to read about so many teachers in her district retiring, because of unpleasant changes in their profession. That is unfortunate.

It's perfect for lunch. Order a shake and a sandwich or burger, and you'll be fine.

While you don't strike me as an All American Picnic Burger kind of gal (too much sodium), it was divine! Tammy and I split one; each had a shake, and could barely walk out there we were so full.

Skip the fries and go with the cucumber salad instead.

Yes! I also selected the cucumber salad, because it was different. French fries are o.k., but I'm sick of seeing them everything--especially at WDW. So when I saw that I could have the cucumber salad, I went for it! :hungry:

I'm still struggling with what to do for a dinner at HS. We want to hit Fantasmic, so we don't want to go off site to eat. Last time we were at Brown Derby, the service was pretty bad. Prime time isn't bad, but we've done that a few too many times. I quess we're going to pass on Mama Melrose too. So any other suggestions? We're takling Mom with, so we're going to pass on Dine-in Theater too... How bad is the Hollywood & Vine buffet?

I think you need to consult with our WDW expert, @StarWarsGirl95 , as to what the best TS option might be for your plans. She's studying for finals, but I just saw a "hi" everyone, from her on this thread! :)

Aww, Minnie you are so sweet. :inlove: I do get an email when I get a PM, so if someone PMs me, I will check. Just cannot be on here nearly as much as usual.

I have a Spanish question for Cesar, so that's partially why I stopped in. I got my new tablet yesterday and was on the Tech section discussing and reviewing since I talked about it over there before buying (FYI, I'm using it now and it's glorious).

@Wrangler-Rick : Prime Time is the best TS option at DHS. SciFi used to be bad, but has upped their game recently, so I can recommend them. Mamma Melrose's, as I said, is hit or miss. So you could end up going there and having a good meal...or not. Think of it as the Tony's at DHS.

I think you're seeing the issue that I, my family, and many others have complained about: lack of good TS options at DHS. Now I don't know what your trip dates are, but here are some suggestions:

1. Book Sci Fi or Prime Time for dinner
2. Book Sci Fi or Prime Time for a late lunch, get QS for dinner. Works well if you go back to your resort and grab late dinner if they've got good food.
3. Depending on what your trip dates are and what time the park closes, you could see Fantasmic and then get a late TS dinner elsewhere. So if there's a 7 pm or 8 pm Fanasmic time, you could book an ADR at Cape May or Yachtsman or Beaches and Cream for 8:30 or later for a 7 pm show, or 9:30 pm or later for an 8 pm show. You will need to either take a cab back to your resort or take a DTD bus and change buses from there (unless you're staying at an Epcot resort). Alternatively, a 8:45 reservation at Chefs de France or Rose and Crown would work too (I believe they book that late; in fact, I think I've booked that late in the past). Fantasmic is only 30 minutes, so an hour should be plenty to walk (and you will have to walk; keep in mind it's not a short walk).

I still always recommend the later show if two shows are playing. Two reasons: later show is always less crowded, and there is a dumb preshow beforehand. I took my bff last January, and I took her on Tiki Birds, SGE, Captain EO, Imagination...and no complaints until the Fantasmic preshow. That's how bad it is. No preshow before the later show; you just sit there and listen to music.

Alternatively, you could do lunch at Epcot as a TS and go to DHS later for Fantasmic and get QS someplace. Or eat an early dinner at Epcot and take the boat to DHS in time for Fantasmic. Or walk. But it's not a short walk.

If possible, plan more than one night for Fantasmic. Aim for your first night, and if the weather doesn't cooperate or something weird happens, you have another possible night.

Good point on it relating to most professions.

I know! I finally off Friday through Sunday so maybe we can do some packing. My brother and his wife are visiting from Alaska and they brought my great niece. She is a feisty little 4 year old. She is going to watch Disney stuff with us to get us pumped.
We asked her what her favorite Disney show is and she said it's Doc McStuffins.
My nieces have the Doc McStuffins Checkup Center. Every time we visit they check our eyes, ears and reflexes. :)

Excellent pictures, it is about time you post some of your lovely flower pictures!
these pics are actually a month or so old.
I think I forgot to upload them because I got in a fight with an ahole Neighbour.
Neighbour who claimed I was "invading his privacy". All because I was taking photos of the common areas in our private gated community.

He claimed angrily that the flowers INFRONT of his house, counted as "inside" of his property (house).
Then made a very dumb claim that how would of "I feel if he barged INSIDE my house and took photos of my bedroom". (yeah, comparing MY private bedroom area, with flowers that are infront of his house)
The logic was facepalm worthy, I ended just walking away shaking my head.

Anyway, I just eyerolled and left (even after I tried to demonstrate that noone of my photos were of his house).
Funny part is, as I walked and continued taking photos of other Flowers, He started to follow me with his pickup.
I was finally near the entrance security guard area and then he went to complain to the guard. I did show the guard the photos, same with the administrator and the last one gave the OK. And confirmed I was doing nothing wrong.

But then, theres always a crazy ahole in every neighbourhood.
Anyway, he probably complained to the administrator and got turned down. Because I haven't seen that old hag since then.

And the "ghost cat". Who finally seems to tolerate me. (he used to disappear in a blink of an eye like a ghost) DSC_0937_DxO.jpg

Thank you @StarWarsGirl95! I had a feeling you were going to say that! ;) We always seem to end up at Prime Time, so I just wanted to see if there was another place we could go with Mom for TS. We're not able to do a ton of walking with her, so we're kinda stuck with HS for dinner.
That's why I warn people about the walk before making that suggestion. People say on trip reports and such, "I was told it was a short walk!" And it's definitely not. ;) Totally understand not being able to walk. That was me after I sprained my ankle. We've also traveled with someone who needed a scooter

There is a boat if you wanted to do the early Epcot dinner idea. You go out International Gateway and it's right there :)
