Yes, I love those solid chocolate little eggs in foil, too!Your Easter basket sounds just like mine when I was little--my mom always put in a stuffed rabbit or chickie for me!! I remember hardly sleeping the night before Easter, as I knew the Easter Bunny would be tip-toeing in (paw-toeing in??
) with a wonderful basket of goodies. It practically matched the excitement of Christmas morning after Santa left me gifts, too! Ah . . . fond memories . . .
I'm a grown man yet my mom still gets me a easter basket every year.

We had so much fun but it was crowded North of the Boarder today, Good Friday and Spring Break, bonus we didn't get any snow or rain. Woot.
Thanks for the cheese, haven't had any from there in almost a year.

I love Reese's too. One regular sized egg can put off a meal for hours. Slurp.
I was talking in the teacher's lounge a couple of weeks ago about my love of the Reese's eggs. I think the egg shape makes them have more peanut butter filling. Anyway, a couple days later one of the teachers got me one of the giant Reese's eggs, which was so nice. I took it home and shared it with the husband and he of course took the biggest pieces! LOL!

DD put that on list of things to do over the next few days. Yum. Never had any ice cream salted yet.
I tried the salted caramel brioche sandwich at the ice cream place in France/Epcot it was pretty good.

So many things we wanted to do/try in World Showcase these past few years that just didn't happen due to that sea of humanity called Food & Wine.
This year, for sure!!!

I kinda judge us for the reasons you say but not all states are the same. Our laws are very different from state to state, and city to city, some cannot open on Holidays like Thanksgiving. I grew up in a dry town (Hilary Clinton's home town.) We had to go to Chicago to buy a bottle of wine. Grocers and drug stores now sell liquor but there still is not any bars. Finally restaurants can sell liquor however it must be sold with food, no liquor only tabs.
I'd say until my mid 20's Everything was shut down on Holidays. Grocery stores were closed on Sundays malls open but all the local stores in that town were closed. Thursday nights were the night all stores everywhere stayed open 'till 9pm other than that everything in the entire area closed by 6pm except on Thursday. In Illinois all car dealerships are closed on Sundays but you can go to a bar.
There are 254 counties in the state of Texas. Of those, 10 are considered completely dry, 49 are considered completely wet, and the other 195 are a combination thereof, based on when, where, what, and how it can be sold. It can vary from precinct to precinct, and town to town, in those counties, and it can all be very cornfusing and bullwildering...
Around here, bars are generally open, even on Sunday, 'til 2a. Just down the road, they close at midnight or 1a, depending on the day.
As I posted earlier, car dealerships just can't be open on consecutive weekend days...

Actually, both mom and pop are. I guess I tend to talk about pop more 'cause, at 82, he's over 6.5 yrs. moms senior. She'll be 76 on April 15th. With moms b-day on tax day and pops on Jan. 1st, there's no excuse to forget them.
Mom is very involved in church (as is pop), working with Alzheimer's patients, in the yard, etc..
Energizer bunnies, they are.

good to know I'm not the only one with problems when strong smells are there.
I sometimes "mini faint"( Ie, less than a sec of severe dizzyness ) when I visit carpenters who has enclosed and dark buildings. The smell makes me uneasy.
Detergents, not so much anymore ( I used to have the same when I was young)
