Boo to You changes this year

Was just told by an entertainment friend about some (unfortunate) changes to this year's edition of Boo to You.

• No Pooh unit this year
• Goofy won't be on the candy machine- he's being replaced by Vanellope
• It's unclear at this moment where in the parade Goofy will be

Obviously take with a grain of salt, but this person would be in a position to know.

They'd have to change the audio to take out Goofy's dialogue then. I'm not opposed to the (belated) Wreck-It-Ralph tie in, but the Pooh unit seems like a random choice to get rid of.

I know that's the reason, but the choice of Pooh is odd to me. You'd think the barn scene would get trimmed first.

I would have thought the maleficient dragon used in the daytime
Parade would be incorporated into the Halloween parade. Missing a good opportunity to use it at night

That would require a soundtrack change, though, right? Cheaper to remove the Pooh unit which has no dialogue or special music, IIRC.

As to Goofy, I bet he'll be walking along with the Candy machine so that his dialog can still be used.

Maybe it was damaged. Wouldn't be the first time a float has been damaged by weather and/or termites.

I think they need an entirely new parade for both Halloween and Christmas. They're charging people to go to these events and using the parade as a selling point. A parade made up of old floats, some older than me. Won't ever happen though until they drop to bits, even then I have my doubts.

Although old, both of these parades are considerably better than what runs most nights in the MK. MSEP needs to be replaced long before Boo To You or Once Upon a Christmastime.

True but having something older and worse than something else doesn't change the fact that they still need replacing.

I'm sorry but I don't agree that the special event parades need to be replaced. Both parades are less than 10 years old with the Christmas parade being the newer of the two.
