Yes, snow removal is what a lot of landscapers do in the winter, up here.
Snap a blade on the front of their pick ups, and they're good to go.

P.S. You may have noticed that we change our avatars in this thraed (not a typo), like others change their underwear. We also have avatar themed weekends.

Seems to be a rite of passage for so many these days. I don't ever remember thinkin' about gettin' even one back in the day. Although, as I've mentioned before, DWifey and myself have half-seriously discussed gettin' matching Hidden Mickey's in recent years. Still comes up every now and then. These days, I actually kinda' feel like we're the rebels for not havin' any. :D ;)
Anyway, there are worse rites of passage.
Depending on what the tat is, of course...! :eek: ;) :)

Alberta is host to the Chinook winds. You can go from blizzard to spring, back to a deep freeze, multiple times a month.

From Wikipedia:
Chinook winds /ʃɪˈnʊk/, or simply chinooks, are foehn winds[1]in the interior West of North America, where the Canadian Prairies and Great Plains meet various mountain ranges, although the original usage is in reference to wet, warm coastal winds in the Pacific Northwest.[2]

Chinook is claimed by popular folk-etymology to mean "snow-eater", but it is really the name of the people in the region where the usage was first derived. The reference to a wind or weather system, simply "a Chinook", originally meant a warming wind from the ocean into the interior regions of thePacific Northwest of the USA (the Chinook people lived near the ocean, along the lower Columbia River). A strong Chinook can make snow one foot deep almost vanish in one day. The snow partly melts and partly evaporates in the dry wind. Chinook winds have been observed to raise winter temperature, often from below -20°C (-4°F) to as high as 10-20°C (50-68°F) for a few hours or days, then temperatures plummet to their base levels. The greatest recorded temperature change in 24 hours was caused by Chinook winds on January 15, 1972, inLoma, Montana; the temperature rose from -48 to 9°C (-54 to 48°F).[3]

DS18 thought he was oh-so clever taking his intake manifold on his '07 Mustang apart to clean and detail the engine stuff last week. Well, it sounds like he didn't get everything put back correctly. The car runs like crap right now. Dad is working out of town so he has nobody to help him trouble shoot it. And DH has chewed his butt for taking it apart when he was told not to. Dad doesn't have time to work on cars on the weekends.

So DH is mad. 18 yro kid is mad. Okay well the 18 yro just said "My hopes and dreams have been crushed." It's the end of the world, you know.

Oh my.
I assume you mean exterior cleaning and detailing?
The only time I've ever been involved in removing an intake manifold to pretty it up was to take it to be ported and polished.
There used to be plenty of good engine cleaners to pretty up most of that exterior stuff. ;) :)

Such a beautiful weekend to relax in Erie, PA, and get away from everything at home. Spent three days at Presque Isle beaches which were a little crowded and our hotel was booked solid. Yep, no one told us it was a CANADIAN holiday weekend and many CANADIANS come to the area on vacation. :mad: :D Just kidding, the hotel was full of nice wonderful people. We managed to squeeze in going to see Planes:Fire and Rescue and really enjoyed it. SOOO tired (and red as a lobster with pruney fingers from swimming all day) that I hope to have a great extended nap.

Oh, and the latest thing that happened with that mole: the spot is now infected!:banghead: I was told to try to keep it uncovered and let it heal a little. I got concerned when I started seeing puss coming from it and asked a friend of ours who is a doctor about it. Turns out he says it was poor advice and I need to keep it covered with a bandaid and put triple antibiotic ointment on it, and if it doesn't heal, he will write me an antibiotic prescription.

And yet another reason why I will not be returning to that dermatology place...
