I listen to Walt when he doesn't like a human 'cause he likes most humans, he believes they are all for him, so if those hairs stand up and he acts out I figure there is an instinct happening there. He has a weird relationship with one bunny. He chases her around our fenced yard half hearted, she runs sorta. She knows he won't harm her, he isn't all that interested in evicting her. They after a minute eat grass together. I think they are comfortable entertainment for each other or she wouldn't keep coming back. Walt will chase a squirrel with vigor on a walk. In our yard he totally ignores them, I wish it was the opposite. Now if Walt would just ignore skunks I'd be a lot happier with his life choices.
We always watch when we let our dog out back, especially at night. She's always on a leash, but a lot of wild animals frequent our back yard since we back up to a wide, open field. I actually almost hit a coyote driving in the middle of our neighborhood a couple weeks ago.

I just realized I made this sound like the coyote was driving in the middle of our neighborhood.

Eeek. I fear the raccoon. Walt has chased a few and I know this could end badly for him. As much as I hate it I can fix the Skunk thing. My DH has now sealed the back of our property due to skunks but the raccoon can still climb the fence. You'd think they'd avoid property with #100 canine but go figure. I suspect it is Walt's pool. A great bath and drinking fountain.

It is OK, like the rest of LaBoulange bakery stuff made for Starbucks specifically not bad not great. That is why I was sad when LaBoulange/Starbucks bakery stuff replaced the Main Street Bakery items, they don't compare. Yet the real LaBoulange bakery actually is so good. That demonstrates what happens when owners start to alter their product and mass market bakery items for a contracts, it is bound to mess with the quality.

In my area (as is the case, I believe, for Starbucks around the country now) they replaced some nicer, local pastries, etc., with the LaBoulange items, that are shipped frozen to the stores. (I read that recently, and I regret I do not recall the site for reference here.) IMO, I can get frozen bakery items at the supermarket for much less money; thawed-out frozen items are o.k., but nothing like fresh bakery pastries.

I resent paying a premium price for bakery items that were not baked fresh that day. Also, there's something about the display of these items in the glass case that looks so cookie-cutter and boring. (Side note: I'm sure, the actual LaBoulange bakery (wherever that's located) probably has delicious items, freshly-made, "same day" and available to their own local community.)

Now, for a chuckle: In my area, we have a few locations with Starbucks and Dunks, side-by-side. I go into Starbucks for coffee, and then walk over to Dunkies for pastry! (Dunks in my area has an in-state bakery that ships fresh to the stores, daily.)

Adding to the discussion of how to cook pork chops, I often use a fool-proof method: McCormick "Bag 'N Season" packets, that you can find in the spices area of the grocery store. All you do is dump the seasoning into the plastic bag and add a little water, shake around to mix, and then just put in the pork chops. Tie close the bag, add three 1-inch slits in the bag with a knife (to let steam escape during cooking--otherwise bag could explode in oven), and cook at 350 degrees (I usually cook 1-inch chops for about 45 minutes).

The above is a steam cooking method, so if you prefer more crunchy chops, go with the cooking suggestions of the other Sagateers.

Lastly, my grandmother had an old country recipe. She'd use one of those very heavy cast iron skillets, with its heavy lid, too. First, she'd brown the pork chops on the rangetop, and then remove. She'd cut up apple slices and onions and place those on top of the chops. Then, the heavy cast iron lid would cover the pan, and the covered pan would go into the oven, and cook for an hour or so. These were delicious pork chops, too! :hungry:

Someone plowed over a coyote not far from my house a few weeks ago. Thank goodness the county road kill crew cleaned it up. It was "fragrant".

Agreed. Desperation causes really dumb actions. I apologize to everyone who has to listen to my antics. I seriously feel embarrassed by my behavior I wish you all didn't have to witness. Another day, another irreversible scare associated with this quagmire that's only going to have reactions that will cause me to get more frustrated and do more stupid things, repeating the cycle over and over again.

This is why I suggested you take a break from posting. Changing your username, avatar, and deleting all of your earlier posts will not change anything if you continue with the same posting style. Especially when you yourself want to let others know that it's you, under another name.

If you really want to continue posting, go back and look at some of your posts that got negative reactions. Try to look at them from another point of view. Do they interrupt the flow of the conversation? Do they seem to be obsessing about the same subject? Would other people really be interested in what you're posting? Does the post even make sense? Do I come across as attention seeking?

Then, keep asking yourself these questions before you hit the reply button. Not everything you're thinking has to be shared with the world. People are not haters because they wish you would stop doing what you're doing.

But if you can't do this, or at least make an honest attempt (which you have been able to do from time to time) then discussion forums are not for you. Enough people have told you this in a caring way. Please listen.

I like it when @The Mom pops in - makes me feel like a little kid that THOUGHT nobody was aware of the giant mud fort they were building in the corner of the backyard.

Also makes me feel a little more comfortable that if Busey ever gets out of the shed, she'll be there with her frying pan.
